😒 I agree OP is dumb. Why on earth would he confront a child abuser/cheater. 😟 You cannot move recklessly around a child abusers Because they are the type of people that will end up killing the child just to get back at you; you have to move smart and have proof that they're an abuser before you divorce that way the court won't give them full custody And not give them an opportunity to kill the kids.

Lily is 14 Abby is 12 and June is 10 I’m pretty sure the judge would want to hear them out before making a ruling

Bring up the fact that you're leaving her, but record it but have an officer in the house hidden when she threatens to end her life again so he can get her help and would help you get custody of the kids

Years of emotional investment into their relationship. That’s not easy for everyone to cut ties from in a nano-second. Especially while in shock from learning the truth about a spouse/partner’s infidelity.

What I'd have said to her in that situation is "Okay, go ahead, no alimony and or custody battle, we will never ever be together anyways so... Alive or dead makes no difference. And your fingerprints on the knife only so you can't frame me either." Am I wrong? Cold? Maybe, but I am right, she would never hurt herself. But the look on her face and the realisation would be priceless. After that record everything in case she want to frame her husband. That's it

The oldest daughter did bring up depression, what if she was threatened as well? The kids aren't going to say anything when the oldest talks about "ruining the family" because they thought the family could continue like that.

I predict that, given the STBX-WIFE May had been cheating on OP, and parentifying their oldest daughter, when May gets full custody of the girls, and then, loses custody, when social services removes the girls from her, strips her of her parental rights, The oldest daughter (Lilly), and the youngest daughter (June) will be placed with other families, through closed adoption, and the middle daughter will be bounced from one foster home to another (with no hope of adoption), and lose contact with her sisters, next, after aging out of the system, she'll stay with/marry a boy who not only cheats on her, but also abuses her, verbally, emotionally mentally, physically; hence: roughs her up so horrifically, he puts her in the hospital, traps her, and threatens to end her, if she divorces her, then, flee to another state to raise her baby in a safe home environment, and stay at a women's shelter, get her GED certificate, find a cheaper apartment, as long as it's in a safe neighborhood, work two jobs to provide for herself and her baby as a single mom, and have to rely on neighbors as her support system, because she won't have OP, any friends, or other relatives in her new state to help out, plus, her baby will never get to know his grandfather or aunts; the only family the middle and her baby will have is each other.⚠️

Op was gone five days a week for years and is shocked that is wife is not who he thinks she is. She has a history of depression severe enough to need medication and a therapist and Op works at a job that ensures his wife is a single parent. He was very checked out of family life until he found out what was going on and now is shocked at what was happening under his nose. Yes, May is a horrible person, but he is too.
