My Honda VFR750 • follow-up video!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hi folks, first of all thank you all so much for watching and commenting on my first VFR video! It went down better than I ever would have expected 🙂
Still waiting to hear about the expected import costs of the new silencers! In the meantime I've discovered a few extra cracks in the bodywork and have tried a pair of tube-type bars for size.

The older bikes are more interesting than the newer ones to be honest. Looking forward to your time with it. 👍🏼

IMHO old bikes are definately interesting and i love to have a nosy when i see them, & the same with modern ones. what doesn't interest me are the so called 'modern classics', but each to their own i suppose. GL

Some interesting comments Rikky. Rear tail section sometimes fell off owing to heavy light cluster. And many say it’s a HONDA it must be reliable and sound! There is a certain excitement in the tone of your voice Rikky. I think you are going to spend many a happy hour tweaking!

As you might remember I originally bought my spare Hawk as a parts bin but semi-restoring it step by step in stead is very rewarding. Even strangers love the little red roadster. Somehow it comes across as neat in stead of macho. So it’s a perfect social stealth bike. May this VFR provide you with many such pleasures as well. 👍👍

Nice one Rikky. I like the raised bars, age and back problems dictate riding position for me.

Hi Rkky just had a thought whilst watching I bought a plastic welding gun a while ago and it does a pretty good job of repairing maybe worth a look I've used mine a few times on various things including the front mudguard of my bike I used used cable tie plastic as an additional filling into the join as well as the weld staples seen it used on KZread on a Bike garage channel and maybe with the epoxy your going to strap with could be belt and braces to the repair I think it cost me about £25 or so with a whole bunch of staples off Ebay worth checking out I reckon . Look forward to seeing the progression nice one 👌👍

I’ve looked it up but my favorite version is the red ‘94 VFR750F. It’s already a beautiful bike as it is but with a tiny bit of trouble it can be made to look even closer the limited run NR 1000 oval piston bike. Jummy! It’s almost a pity I am so religious about less is more. 😉

Moose antler size handlebars are all the rage nowadays, even on brand new models, but with my 62, nearly 63, years I am just too young for them. 😝

I didn't want bars as wide as these for the Bros or VFR but it seems hard to get bars any narrower than about 720mm off the internet unless you risk buying super-cheap! I might cut the new ones down a bit once I've done a test fitting...

@@RikkyTang Just saying. You can make your bars as wide as you want. 😁Tip: before you shorten the bars make sure the switch clusters do not end up in a bent part of the pipe. Fastening them properly might otherwise be a problem.

@@RikkyTang PS: The same obviously applies to the lever assemblies.
