    Many congrats, Rikki! Fantastic bikes. I had the '97 model, the one that looked a bit like the NR750. Utterly superb machine. One of the best bikes I've ever owned. It was the last of the 750s before they went to 800cc and it had carbs. Wonderful bikes. Period. Hope yours gives you the amazing satisfaction of ownership as mine did.

    Amazing bike and in great condition for its age, looking forward to see how you get on with it. Dreamed of owning one as a teenager and had a late model FV (‘97) over 20 years ago, one of the best bikes I’ve ridden and shouldn’t have sold it. 😢

    Excelllent purchase.. I think these type of bikes will only go up in value. I’m a big vfr fan. I’ve had 3 800’s and a 97 model 750. Personally find the riding position perfect compromise between sporty one comfort but, I’m probably a bit taller. Looking forward to more vids on this one.

    Dude, what a bike! VFRs are legendary and you are no stranger to a vintage bike. Wishing you a lot of problem free laid back kilometres! What about your past stance towards going slower and seeing more? Won't this go against that? :D

    This bike is going to challenge my slower riding approach for sure! But I was always going to get a bigger bike again one way or the other, and I knew I wouldn't be riding more calmly all the time 😁I still have the KTM for more relaxed riding though!

  • @marcbrasse747

    Great choice Rikky. The only real downside as far as I am concerned is its weight. No match for the Bros in that respect. Everything else should hoever provide more of Honda’s best. One thing though. Do not overestimate the condition of the rest of the exhaust. They mainly rust from the inside out and can look very nice until suddenly, one day… The inside of that damper might therefore be indicative of the condition of the rest. On the other hand: As long as enough material is still left in place proper welding remains an option. It might even be possible to save that damaged damper for a few tenners. 😄

  • @RikkyTang

    @RikkyTang

    Yes it it's not a lightweight but with the wider handlebars it'll still be fun to throw around :) I do plan to fit a replacement exhaust at some point, I feel like I have to let this bike sing a little!

    @@RikkyTang No, I shouldn’t! The shed is already too full so I avoid trying out other bikes. The last bike I rode that I don’t own myself was a modded Yamaha GTS 1000. The one with the hub center steering. In spite of its high weight and overabundance of power I was still very much tempted. The world is full of such temptations. In the mean time my Hawk / Bros special is about to hit the streets again and that one is so very close to my ideal that buying yet another ICE bike would be sheer decadence. Working on my own electric motorcycle design though. 😄
