Made the oatmeal cinnamon energy bite and it is delicious! I used the mixed nut butter from Costco. I have tried a few energy bites and always worry they will not turn out, this was spot on.

Thanks for these recipes. I love something a little sweet after my meals (lunch & dinner). Someone gave me some M&Ms so I stuck one inside all the bites (you could use whispers or smarties) as a "surprise". I also rolled mine in various "toppings" - grated choc, crushed choc biscuits & dessicated coconut. Looked pretty & tasted great. BTW, you can make your own choc chips (other other cake sprinkles) - see here kzread.info/dash/bejne/mXyTyahwoK2sk7Q.html

Please be careful with that flaxseed (as well as chia seeds) - they absorb moisture & expand, & you can get a blockage in your digestive tract. A little goes a long way. I put 1 tsp in my smoothie & that is plenty! 1/4 cup seems like too much to me.

The “dough” made approximately 14 energy bites. That means each ball is allocated far less flax than you are putting into your smoothie. Most eat one energy ball at a time. There is moisture in the “dough” from maple syrup which allows the balls to be formed and maintain their cohesiveness. Be well!

OK, I can't eat chickpeas or black beans without major discomfort later. Similar issues with protein powders. Can You suggest any other substitutes? I'm not as concerned about the protein level in these as much as being easily digestable. Need to be as sugar (honey is ok, but not great) and dairy-free as possible. No flax or nightshades either due to hypothyroid. thanks.

Roast oats, add coconut flakes, peanut butter, and warm dates in some water. Mix together. Make into balls. I also add poppy seeds and chia seeds.
