I notice it can depend also on pressure too from other divers ‘educating’ them. If they been shot at or chased around a lot recently they’ll be much more distant. other than that though just going down and setting up/ sitting still and not going after them usually is the ticket for us with them coming in and turning broadside.

Flopper spear I have for this gun isn't tuned so it just flops closed... so didn't wanna risk losing fish lol... yeah definitely didn't need a slip tip but it does always have a better landing percentage in my experience.

you can't have the floatline attached to the pole spear like that. Way too slow.

@@BradenSherron you have the option of hooking a piece of dynema to the middle of the pole spear band and then transition to the floatline, but you pole spear is lost if the band breaks. Also dangerous in a tug of war, but it works.

Yeah I'm not the most confident in depending on a band for keeping my polespear lol, That one is pricey. and yeah if a fish is pulling and lets go definitely can see that shooting back at you. Also it's a roller so would have to hook it to the hand loop.. I imagine i'll still hook to the back but just create some slack with a leash by holding it @@Speedospearo
