My FINISHED scratch build Necromunda HIVE CITY board - first layer of a vertical playing table
#necromunda #scratchbuilding #hivecity #necromundaterrain #onepagerules #warhammerscenery #warhammerterrain #wargamesterrain #wargamesscenery #warhammer40k #dystopian
In the grimdark future there is only war. Hive City's are a common site on many dystopian planets of the Imperium of Warhammer 40K. The huge slumb cities are the home of millions of people. The streets are run by House gangs the fight eachother over every scrap of inch of terrain or power. The depths of the lowest parts of the city are toxic wastelands where if you are lucky you can find your fortune or quick dead out of your miserable life.
This is what I like to capture with my new project "Hive City Novio". This video tells my first real story about my dystopian Warhammer 40K city where I have build a 3x3" feet board that will serve as a base layer in the vertical tower.
Cheers to all creative people!

Thanks man. In my KZread Shorts you can see a first impression preview. Building the first structures for verticality and next video will be all about building and testing those. So far have a great feeling about it all. 3x3 is pretty large but with 12 inch height (needs some house rules) all seems very reachable and playable. Maybe I do a 2x2 for the next level or with a huge chunk cut out of it. Atleast a cool proces to go trough.

I’m looking forward to the next video. Is it up yet? I’ve wanted to do a spire table since I saw one in Fanatic magazine many years ago, I thought you might have been building the same way when I found this video in search but your plan is different. The one I saw had a cross of vertical boards in the middle and each one had a series of 2” wide ledges and inch thick spaced every 2” from top to bottom, then lifts, stairs, holes, dead ends, doors, tunnels, traddoors, barricades etc are built into it. Play is on a vertical serface and can go through and around to the other sides. The same sort of thing can also be built on one vertical surface for those short on space.
