Please list any others in the comments. Hopefully we can create a big comprehensive list here of all possible options.

I uploaded some playmat designs to the inked gaming site, named Industrial Floor (zone mortialis/necromunda) and Boarding Action (Kill Team Into the Dark). I can't add links, as KZread will auto-delete the comment, but searching 'Inked Gaming' plus 'industrial Floor' or 'Boarding Action' should get you to them. Enjoy.
For printing I really recommend the Risor set by Print Minis on MMF. They are not one to one copies, though they mesh well. The designer has put a great deal of thought in how things should fit together and how to accomplish things the original set would not.

I’m just getting into printing now so I’ll check those out thanks!!
I feel like there needs to be another video. "How much do you need" Though there is obviously no definitive answer, I bet your experience has told you what it takes to fill up various board sizes including how to do so with multi-level options. I followed your designs for modularity, and realized quickly that that was only the start and that I really didn't have enough.

You’re right. The ki d of annoying thing with Necromunda terrain is however much you think you’ll need, you’ll need more. And the cost goes up exponentially. That’s when I started scratch building bits. Adding MDF parts and making what I had super Modular. If it helps I can fill a 4x4 table on two, sometimes three (in places) using only 4 boxes of columns and walls and 4 boxes of stairs. The rest are scratch concrete walls, MDF archways, pipe walls and and my own laser cut designs.
I've recently discovered blocking Matt's for knitting. They are 12 x 12', you get 9 in a pack, they have a bag, are 1cm thick and one side is like mezzanine and cost about £20. I painted them up with acrylic from the pound store. I use one side for Gaslands Refuelled, the other for Dust Tactics.

It’s no Game of Thrones but it’ll pass the time! 🤣
Thanks for the shout out! I'd recommend building the elevators either on a tile (or a platform like in the video) with them resting along a column while the glue dries to help with the angle issues but given there is a little bit of play with the tolerances it can be difficult to 100% solve the issue when things are modular. Even if you aren't going to build with tiles, if you can get a single one it is a good building tool for making sure your walls, columns, and elevators are built to spec. Great video with some nice flooring options. Keep up the good work!

Hey! Yeah, that’s the irony. I built everything using other parts as guides to hold while glueing. But you’re right, the tolerances on the parts that join aren’t 100% so what you think is 90 degrees on one part, isn’t 90 on another. You live and learn!
Dying to see how you made that sump tile at the end of the video! Great video, has really got my juices going

Wow. Genius idea. I printed my Hazard stripes, posters or markings but never thought about to print a tile or a sump. Looking forward to the sump print.

Oh yeah! I remember those.
Note that many 'Sector Fatalis' sellers online are selling them at 1/4 the GW price....but also at 1/4 the square footage. Be wary!

Yeah, I can’t recommend buying other peoples 3D printed stuff. It’s almost always cheaper to buy a 3D printer and print the STLs yourself. 👍🏼
Quite a nice video, lots of options. Well done!

@@thestateofplay2023 It's funny, I'd been pondering doing a similar video for my channel because I have one of my technique for painting the zone mortalis tiles but I don't use them often. They're a bit annoying. lol

Great video bud. Nicely timed as well. Been thinking of a way to build two boards (3'-2') for Kill Team, one open board one Necromunda style, but have them built in a way that one can be stacked on top of another so you have like an indoor/ outdoor underhive to pick from. Was gonna go for 12" squares for ease of measurements and allows for rotational symmetry. Struggling with the indoor tiles as I didn't want to pay through the nose for GW, but also wanted some ground textured without restricting terrain placement. But this gives me food for though. Would love to see a run through of your own Necromunda table in a future video.

I know exactly what you mean. I wanted similar. Indoor, outdoor, stacked, spread out, claustrophobic. All from the same terrain and didn’t want to spend the earth. PVC battlemats are a good option for you because they can still be sliced up into 12” squares, already have the design and can be glued to something more rigid. And for like €40 you can get 4’x4’ which is cheaper than one box of tiles!
I have made my own 12" tile out of chip board and dry wall tape and i've been 3d printing zone mortalis floor tiles. I presently have enough for a 2x2 board and i'm going to keep printing until i have enough for a 3x3. i use them as bases for a combo of scratch built and GW terrain. i have a distillery and a tile with a shop, communications bunker and apartment tower. To flatten folded paper mats you had the right idea with the iron. you need to sandwich between two towels and use a little bit of steam if you are feeling bold. then put heavy books on top to keep them flat. then you can glue them down to chip board or foam core.

Some really great ideas there. Thanks for that. As for paper mats, tbh I just replace them with something better usually. I’m not a huge fan of ironing. 🤣

@@thestateofplay2023 yeah it's not really worth it to iron and glue down the paper ones. it's a lot of work for something that isn't very durable.

I'm curious what water texture fx would look like applied to your 2D sump decal.

I imagine it would work really well. Provided it dried really clear and didn’t obscure the print underneath. It’s actually a technique I’ve used before on a sheet of glass for water terrain to have waves. I guess on sump, I took the idea that it wouldn’t have waves. 😀
Thanks for your videos. Been trying to motivate myself to get into Necromunda. I’m still trying to understand what the black and white ZM tile you show around 6:22 is. Did you just print it and stick it to a base? It looks so intriguing!
