My Ferrari is officially a big red brick in my garage

From flat tires, new wheels and a blown radiator line, I'm ending my year in a cloud of vapor. Thanks CNC Motors for selling me the biggest lemon in history. However I do want to thank the people and businesses that have helped me such as, Ferrari Parts, Les Schwab Tire Shop, Austin at Sams Towing, my dad, daughter and girlfriend.

    Matt, as a viewer , I am commiserating with you and not enjoying. Just waiting for the ending which will come one day and it will be an amazing joy for you. Also, your grace is so amazing. Even in the heat of this enraging events, as you sink more money to a car you do not own yet, you make sure to recognize the shops who help you and even the tow truck driver by name in your videos. If this thing does not work out well for a guy like you, the rest of us regular humans have no chance of getting a break.

I have AAA towing 200 mile radius from home, but I don't want to be sitting on the side of the freeway for hours. I have Liberty Mutual for the Ferrari & a BMW 335i, it's only 120 bucks a month full coverage, 1000 dollar deductible.

    Selling the car was never an option for you. How do you sell a car (legally) without the title for it? I assume the original owner is holding onto the title since he/she did not get paid by CNC. So you have the car, original owner has the title, and CNC has the money. The perfect triumvirate. You seem like such a nice guy. Nice guys ALWAYS finish last. I'm surprised an insurance company insured your car when you or the bank don't have the title for it. The bank, as you say, considers this a personal loan vs a car loan. From a liability standpoint, if you got into an accident with this car and someone gets hurt, I HIGHLY doubt your insurance will cover. But not only will you be personally liable, but the actual title holder as well. Your only option is to "split the loss" with the title holder since there's no way you'd get your monies back from CNC at this point. Or "split the gain" with the title holder until he/she is paid off since you plan on commercially making money off of this car. At least that way, you can legally own/drive it.

    @@FML it’s time to negotiate with the previous owner. I’m assuming that he/she has the title? Get the previous owner to agree to an equity split. Pay off your bank loan. Buy something else. This situation with CNC and the DMV won’t likely be resolved swiftly. I’m assuming that your lender has converted its loan from auto to uncollateralized with a higher yield?

    I agree. My 430 was driven into the ground, and then sold to unsuspecting me. My fault, but you don't buy and expensive car and then beat the shit out of usually. The worst part is the previous owners take everything that came with the car and resell it. No books, tools, air compressor, and even the key. They keep or sell it.

  • @nickfalzone7955

    @nickfalzone7955

    2 жыл бұрын

    Agreed. I always have this in the back of my mind - if a used car is in good/great condition, why would previous owner part with it? It's so rare nowadays to have like a solid functioning car that doesn't need any drastic service. So I always assume, even on a certified car, that there's likely to be something that is either broken, or soon to go (like a timing belt, water pump, etc). Also, this is why in my old age, I no longer buy used, I simply lease new. First 24 months of ANY brand is likely to be very cheap to maintain. Once you buy used, you're literally buying a money pit unless it's like a 2008 Carolla or something that is bulletproof. So yes - previous owner obviously got rid of this Ferrari because it was going to be a monster paycheck to repair - also CNC doubled that problem by neglecting all the car's problems before selling it.

    Never, ever drive a Ferrari that has any kind of cooling system issue. The cylinder heads are prone to warping if they get too hot. No, they cannot be repaired and a new head is well into five figures. My advice is, do not drive this car until a competent Ferrari mechanic has gone through it and fixed everything necessary. I wouldn't even bother having the tire switched to the new rim because the problem with the lug bolt isn't the wheel (although the wheel may now be damaged). Oh, and get rid of the CNC Motors license plate frame. It is clearly a bad omen. If you need a flat deck on a holiday and you're getting the run-around, just tell them you'll pay $500 cash if it's there within half an hour. The driver might be drunk but he'll be there! If you're going to own a Ferrari, you need to learn how to think like a Ferrari driver!

    Ok, Car is 22 years old now. You have to expect maintenance on these cars. Its a Ferrari out of warranty by ...20 years?. When you buy a car like that you can expect a few issues. My 2000 360 leather headliner fell down while driving and Ferrari Lauderdale charged me almost 12 grand for a service and brake job before I knew better and this was back in 2001. Your problems with the car are not really the dealers fault. If you wanted less issues you should have gone with a newer car like an F430 with chain drive, I had one of them too. Great car. Wait till you see the bill for the belt service
