I'm a new member of the FCA. There was a car meet at the Blackhawk Museum last Sunday 4/10/ 22. I met the lady, who is the Sacramento chapter president. Somebody brought up CNC Motors, and I said oh Matt is a new member, he has the 360 from CNC. She said oh yea I've heard about that. Your a celeb. already. I'll probably see you at one of these FCA meetings and driving tours.

Keep at it, you're getting there Matt! And kudos to your bank and insurance companies too. It's not often you have a financial or insurance company that really goes the extra mile for a customer. I know the other side of many of those types of companies from personal experience, and they are not at all like they're advertising would have one believe. Good Luck!

I kinda bursted out laughing when you said its chilly in Cali with all due respect , I live in Toronto and recently I went and filmed a Ferrari F40 , F50 , Pagani Huayra, 918 spyder in -30 Dergees Celsius so -22 Degrees F for you guys on crutches cuz of my disablity , in pain from said disability and on public transit , but like you I went through horrific accident , but like you I'm fight through it and keep going through a car spotting youtube channel , theres even content with Drake , glad evrything is started to work out for you with the 360

I think you should keep the Ferrari regardless of what ppl say. It's a dream car. Just looking at the car puts a smile and that's all we need sometimes.

My F430 was a Ferrari Approved from Steve Harris Imports in SLC with a 1year warranty. Budgeted 50k for repairs but never needed it. Paid a little more than dealers like CNC but it matters where you buy your Ferrari!

Matt -- to insure a car (or anything) you need to have an "insurable interest" in the item "insured". In the case of a vehicle - the vehicle title proves that the vehicle belongs to you and proves up your "insurable interest" in it In other words until you have a title in your name - you cannot prove up your "insurable interest" in the car for insurance purposes. I am not an attorney and this is just what I have heard over the years. Good luck on getting the car's title put in your name -- that may be the answer.

Regardless of the mechanical issues, you buying the Ferrari was a great move, trust me you would not have been happy with any of the alternatives suggested to you. I personally settled for a lesser car (E92 M3) rather than what I really wanted, which was mid engine, normally aspirated exotic. Now all I have is a car sitting outside my garage that I do not enjoy. I've learned a hard and expensive lesson, so soon as it is paid off, I plan to sell it. I will not spend one more penny on anything unless it is a Ferrari 360, Lamborghini Gallardo or Audi R8 first generation as any of these should make me smile, running or not.

Unfortunately the insurance company can only pay claims to the registered owner of the vehicle.

jeez, you know its bad when you dont even know if the car you bought is the car you bought when you know its the car you bought cuz you bought it.

@@FML It is unfortunate that you ended up in this position. The wheels of justice turn slowly. Patience is key, and you have that in spades.

Highly likely if you are in an accident resulting in thousands of dollars the insurance company will deny your claim because you are not the registered owner. Typically the insurance application asks who is the "registered owner(s)" and "lien holder(s)". While the insurance company can insure the car at the time you picked it up from CNC it is subject to verification of information in the application. After the insurance company issued the policy it should have been rescinded because the name on the application was not the registered owner. Bottom line, there is someone who consigned this Ferrari to CNC and never got paid. Boggles the mind why CA DMV cannot verify whoever owned the Ferrari never got paid by CNC.

How can you feel comfortable with your purchase if you can’t even call it yours? It makes no sense why you haven’t just called it quits with the car

It's hard to rationalise, this has been going on for a year and a half over a 360, I own one myself, sure its easy for me to say, they're great cars but no way worth this much stress.

@@TomNbk I can’t understand how he let this go this long. He shoulda just called it quits long ago and now that CNC is going bankrupt he’ll probably never get the car now. Why make payments on a car you don’t own or get insurance on a car you don’t own. He’s already said $50K just to get it running. Seems like he’s throwing cinder blocks 🧱 in a sinking boat and hoping it floats

Matt, You really should gets a few estimates to repair your 360. You need a Ferrari Specialist to look at your car, I saw your video from a Porsche repair shop, I am sure they're great, but please don't just take the first guys opinion. For that much repairs you maybe need a engine, gearbox, etc. Please be smart about this, and find an expert. I also live in the Bay Area and they're a lot of trusted Ferrari repair guys, get an Expert. I don't want you to get taken again..

Matt, did you stick your finger in a light socket?😂. All kidding aside, I hope thinks work out for you and the other owner of the car. Both of you guys got screwed over. You should be notified by the bankruptcy court that you are a creditor. If you don't receive that notice, contact the trustee of the bankruptcy and make sure you are listed as a creditor, because you are. Go to the court during the bankruptcy, and the trustee will listen to your case and I bet the trustee will grant you relief.
