Nothing about this car is easy | My CNC Motors Story (part 8)

I know it’s been a while since my last update. I’ve been working quite a bit and it’s taken me away from KZread for a few months, but I’m back! I still DO NOT have title to the car and I’m still making payments. I picked up a screw driving to a car show and turns out I need a new rim. I had an amazing adventure with the Ferrari club and will be doing more content with them soon.

I was just thinking to myself a day or two ago about your car, wondering what had happened. With current values bringing six figure sales on 360's recently, I think eventually you'll be fine monetary wise on this car. I don't see values dropping to near what you paid for it. So there is that consolation. Keep at it. Glad things are okay.

I hope you resolve this situation quickly. This whole mess with CNC makes me anxious to buy a car from any independent besides a ferrari dealer. I believe the laws need to be changed to protect the buyer and co signer from this type of fraud. I bought my car directly from the owner and it was a simple transaction. Check in exchange for car and signed title, and I drove off.

Yeah find somebody on KZread like Tavarish or the car wizard. Reach out to them they can get a sponsor to help offset some of the costs of the repairs and then generate a ton of views on their KZread channel fixing your car for you. I know you don't have a lot to offer them per se but in a sense you do. Get a hold of one of these prominent KZread restoration guys I'm serious on that and I think you may end up walking away from this in a very good light.

matt..i know my suggestion might not be what you want to hear, but there would be another solution to fix this mess. and it is YOU taking a mechanic crash course, and get the thing slowly fix'ed by yourself.this is no rocket science, but of course you need to know where you're going,so getting a mechanic course would gets you to the right place so you can DIY along the years and gets the car eventually fix'ed along the next 2-3 years.on top of thjat you would gain another skill set,and maybe it would open some other doors for you ;you said you love the ferrari owners club you're a part of.......here is the part where it might leads you to some other interesting endeavours.....i know,it's quite a workload, but it is still better than throwing much more cash in it,because you probably already knows that a large part of a repair bill is the ''''work''',not the parts.

I have been in this situation before. To cut your losses you need to sell the car in parts. You don’t need a title to sell the motor, interior parts, rims etc. your only hope is to part out the car. You probably won’t get all your money back but you will get a significant amount back.

Matt has had quite a bit of bad luck with this car, but I'd say the left rear picking up a screw, and thus discovering the damage to the wheel, saved Matt from possibly a really bad accident. I thought he knew about the issues with that wheel earlier, but I guess this revealed more. I still think that, in the long run, Matt will pay off the original owner with maybe 20-25k, get the title to himself, then in 3-5 years have a fully functional Ferrari after more repairs.

Great story. I would move on from a personal perspective to reset. Take a blank piece of paper and a pencil strategize all exit opportunities; use different color pencils and highlighters if you like. Ask some friends, car buffs, dealers for ideas you haven't considered. You can narrow down a few price maximization (loss minimization) approaches. The 2021 hyper-inflationary economy and car bubble may a real advantage; don't underestimate how those factors change strategic thinking. But the liquidity window inevitably closes so there is a timing factor (or price spiking and easy financing continue for a long time, who knows). I suppose finding a way to work with the title holder to sell the car would maximize value for both; that could minimize losses for both of you and end a painful chapter. That grey legal area would require a lawyer IMHO. The history / issues will attract either a mechanic or KZreadr who will enjoy resolving all the issues, and can do that at costs for parts and labor well below retail. Good luck.

Hello dude, I'm Randall. I had been looking forward to an update from you. I feel sorry that it is not the update you and I believe most of us wanted for you. However there are some good suggestions here in the comments about partnering with another You Tuber like the The Car Wizard. I would like to see you reach our to Normal Guy Supercar. You may know of Dan, if memory serves. He is a real genuine Guy from what I see from his channel and a partnership may help you get it repaired at lower cost. Your car could be good content for his channel, if you guys could work out a deal with some of his partners. Normal Guy currently has a 355 project going. The 355 is my dream. I also think you are on the right track by wanting to reach out and work out a deal with the title holder. I think that is the best option for you to keep the car and be able to enjoy it. You would want to make sure he/she did in fact lose out before any deal you might make with him/her. It would be interesting to know what happens when you research the VIN of your car? You say you have to get a rebranded title. What is a rebranded title and what is involved in getting that? I get it it is something that allows you to title the car. If you do that I assume the title holder loses out totally, if they did not get satisfied by CNC. Therefore, that could be the leverage you could use to make a deal on the title. Good Luck Dude. I would love to see you post up some videos from FCA outings. Its rare to have a 488 out. You need to do a video on that car. That is what we love, to hear and see these amazing cars in action. Peace and Love brother, Stay Safe.

At this point you and the owner have no idea how much money, if any, you'll get from a DMV settlement and/or court order against CNC. CNC may only have enough money to pay 10 cents for every dollar owed. If the owner was due $70,000 from CNC that would be $7,000. It would seem the owner has the choice to accept or reject the $7,000. I don't know, if post settlement, you would be forced to relinquish possession to the owner. At this time, for you to get in control of your destiny with this car you, the owner and the credit union could be on the title. At least your monthly payment can be reduced because the credit union got the title. Then, you and the owner can figure out what to do. Also, your insurance may be invalid. Highly likely, the application for insurance asked whether or not you are the registered owner.

I've been wondering what's happening with these CNC scam cars. In my state (CT), the person who has the title would still have legal ownership of the car. I know it sucks that you paid CNC money for this car, but without the title, there's not much you can do. I'm not sure why the title holder couldn't reclaim the car from you. At that point, you'd have to recover from CNC. And yes, I realize that they've most likely hid any remaining assets - hopefully the court could foreclose on property to offer some relief to scam victims, or possibly there's bonded state funds for this.

If your not willing to do the work yourself, within reason of course, then hook up with some of your Ferrari buddies, to get you a reputable mechanic that they use. The key is, who they use. As far as your wheel situation? KZread is invaluable source of info. I'm sure its not the wheel, but either the lug nut is stripped or where it bolts into the wheel housing is stripped. I dont think Ferrari's have studs. Unless the wheel was hit and totally out of whack, that should be the problem. Good luck

what do you expect buying a car like that..every rapair cost a fortune

You can’t have the title cause the original owner didn’t receive the payment you made on the car that’s paid to CNC, and the original owner can’t have his car back since you already made payment to CNC so it’s unfair for you to just give him back his car after paying $80k. I doubt both you and the current owner will come to a fair term as either way someone is gonna lose out. Cause it will be ridiculous for the original owner which is also the victim of CNC to fork out money to buy his car back and it’s also unfair for you to just return him his 360 after paying $80k. Maybe the best situation here is to cash out on some insurance money and write it off LOL!! Ohh or maybe you can discuss with the owner and registering the vehicle as a rental car and y’all can split the rental income

At the end of the day the title owner has legal say over the car. If he really just would press the issue he could get his car back

I think the person who bought the car will probably win. If you watched the rob ferretti saga, that is what I believe happened with him.

The Owner Named on title will get the car, Matt will have to go after CNC for his Fraudulent Purchase. Either way Matt looses...sorry Matt.

@@passionnotparked9099 exactly. You can’t buy a car that legally belongs to someone else
