I got a letter in the mail that I was being charged with a felony for criminal damage to property after helping my neighbor prune 2 shrubs that were a safety violation. The felony was dismissed. But then, the police officer had me charged a second time on the municipal level. It went to trial and the municipal judge ordered me to pay the homeowner $7000 for pruning 2 shrubs which were required to be pruned. I appealed the judgement at circuit court. The judge saw through the homeowner's scheme and said that I owed nothing. This process took a year and a half and lots of time. Fortunately I defended myself and didn't have much for legal fees. ALWAYS STAND UP FOR YOURSELF!

I dunno, I don't think a hero is the word here since he's confident he'll find support here (he has mine btw) and that's why he made the matters public. It's more of a pragmatic and calculated move which isn't wrong ofc just doesn't fit you term.

  • @tomaAlex2001

@@alexheller5602 I do believe this clarification video was sort of required, as speculation around his monstrous persona was flying around like crazy. He just plainly had to defend his image after all, so I wouldn't revoke the label of a hero in this context just because he summed up the facts of the situation he was accused of. All of it was a public threat to his image, so I think it does make sense he chose to wash the laundry in this video in front of us, but, in this specific context, it is truly heroic to go against the insane emotional damage you have been caused and just support your "enemy". If you really want to press hard on the definition of a "hero", I guess you could make an opposite argument, but, despite the really positive outlook he would probably get from this video, he would have still been really supported here without his help towards her health issues. Therefore, that was kind of unnecessary and he could have easily left her pay for her caused trouble, so I do think it was a valid act of heroism to still choose the forgiveness and loving route.

A friend of mine was sued by his own wife for something similar and had to settle because he didn't have the funds to fight it. He lost his job, his family, and shortly after died of cancer. We need more people like you, people with integrity and resources, to stand up for themselves and show society that this is unacceptable. What needs to happen is women that make false allegations and are found guilty of it, must do jail time and pay restitution. There needs to a serious deterrent. Another issue that needs to be addressed is attorney’s are allowed to advise their female clients to file molestation charges against their spouse so the the woman has a better chance of custody.

Thank you for giving me the courage to fight against these false accusations. My culture and respect for women have kept me silent for too long, even though my wife accuses me of things that are simply untrue. I have never touched alcohol or loved anyone but her. Despite knowing she can be quick to anger, I've been with her for over 12 years. I've never raised my voice without reason. Yet, she portrays me as a terrible person, claiming affairs with both men and women, and even drug addiction (when smoke triggers my asthma!). She threatens divorce and withholding access to my children. She ruined my job with false accusations, forcing me to freelance. Now, the financial burden solely falls on me, even when I can't see the kids. Fearful of more actions, I'm living with my parents. The bias towards women here makes it even harder. I feel trapped, heartbroken over losing the only love I thought I had. Even her therapist diagnosed her with morbid jealousy and a personality disorder, yet she blames me and refuses treatment. This video has instilled a flicker of hope to fight back.

Police and the law can be used as a tool against you and they wont stop the resource taking, false accusations and reports. its not just destroying my practical life, but also my physical energy , emotional drive and feeling of purpose. Getting swatted on top of that by making the mistake of constructively calling a incompetent person incompetent (in the naive perception they would take it constructive `as i would if i was showing incompetence) this all will add trauma that unless a pivot point gets created will stay with you for a lifetime and fester. The mental health will be effected until you are out of the situation. When the trauma and negative neurologic programing stops, the negative effects will get less with time but it never really goes away and damages every moment and decision you make in your further life. If its Still ongoing this effect will only grow as we are mentally programmed by our environments, if you lack the very basic possibility to just move house to start a new life in a new home to change this state of being it becomes a self sustaining issue` that cant be broken without outside help. No country in the world defends against this, perhaps individuals actions save lives by giving the small basic assists but this is structurally flawed and ingrained. In the united states the legal possibility is even worse, it is actually a thing to sue someone `knowing it will not succeed, just to harass, take up time of life and stress someone to the point they dont even feel alive.

Romantic entanglements are strong but short-lived. Meh, whether because he is too soft hearted or for whatever other background reason, he shows that people should give this a try, not the other way around, as there is little to no consequence in the end. If this video was supposed to discourage others from pulling this, it failed tbh. The sleazy attorneys pay 2.5k fine, wow big deal, what a joke. The perpetrator also gets a slap on the wrist basically, partly by OP's own choice for whatever reason, but also legally. The OP is the one who suffered the most damage in the end because that's how society works. All that stress and emotional pain caused on him, all the reputational impact, years of having to deal with such bs, many others in his place would rather just cave in to not have to deal with it all, and this shows that it just might be the smart route to take if you have plenty of money to spare. Especially when the victory is pyrrhic at best, if you can even call it that. I mean, why shouldn't others try their hands on this when they can get millions of dollars if they succeed, and a slap on the wrist if they fail as shown in this video? Is there any logical point to not trying this for anyone morally bankrupt? It's like a sleazy business venture with minimal risk. You get rich if you succeed, if not oh well...

Agree with your statement. Most attorneys in the United States work on a contingency fee basis when it comes to civil litigation cases. This means that if the plaintiff loses, they get nothing but if the plaintiff wins or the defendant agrees to a private out-of-court settlement, they get 1/3 of the settlement amount. This means her attorneys would have received $3m had he decided to pay up to settle privately. This is how the litigation lottery system is being played.
