Also Op's Mom did in fact cheated due to her own admission after Op and his father and brother got a DNA test to see if they are related and they were. But when they said to the mom she freaked out and when off on Op only to revealed her affair.

I resonate with this story.

In the first story. That would honestly make me question whether I would want my mother or sister in my life again. The sister is just damn insane and the fact the mother took the ex's side so quick and dismissed her own son being abused because "she seemed so nice, no woman like that could be abusive" absolutely insane words. I have seen first hand how quickly someone's personality can change behind close doors...

That sister of OP's is just another useful idiot who is brainwashed. If I was OP in that first story, I would have cut off contact with mom and sister instantly. There is no point staying in contact with people who do wrong to you, even if they're blood relatives. Let’s be real nobody really has OP’s back as the father failed for letting his wife continue with this behavior and how OP’s mother failed when she choose to support the woman who hurted and abused her son, OP should have called his mom a failure of a mother for trying to convince him to take care of a kid that’s not his. Story 1: Well, perhaps those relatives could had told the sister to cut the crap early on instead of sweeping it under a rug and letting OP take the fall!

Story 2: Just as a friendly reminder to anyone that might need to hear this, family does not have to include blood relatives, and can most certainly be chosen or found: I.E., friends, partners, surrogate or adoptive, even just role models. Just because someone shares the same last name, are your mother or father, your niece or nephew, aunt or uncle, whatever the affiliation, does not mean that they are family. Those who love you unconditionally and without remorse or resentment, are the ones that should be considered family. The mother and sister are wrong because the child is not his child, so he doesn't have to pay for child support. I'm glad he got a dna test and didn't buckle to the pressure, and didn't try to just be nice and give his ex the money. The second story is too similar to my own upbringing, and I also had to cut ties to family as much as possible.

If I was OP, I would hit them back with their logic of "Even it's not your kid, you're morally obligiated to help her!" with "Even it's not your kid, you're morally obligiated to help her by being a MIL(mother-in-law) figure and an SIL(sister-in-law) figure to the single mother? Why don't you help pay then?"

Story 1: The Ex's actions are evil and Machiavellian, but at least I get what she's trying to do. There's logic there. Something's profoundly wrong with the sister, though. It seems she, like many, has let politics rot her brain to where she'll destroy her family and ally with someone trying to hurt her brother just because she's a woman. She's an unhinged traitor.

There are updated versions of this story, and it turns out yes, mom not only cheated but conceived OP roughly at the same time of her affair, so she always doubted OP's true paternity (luckily, a test confirmed OP was not a affair baby)

Story 1 sounds like the mom and sister need to put their money where their mouth is and pay for the kid. Since it doesn't actually matter whether the kid is biologically yours, they need to take responsibility.

I saw in another thread a guy (who was in the wrong) and the op (a woman who was in the right). Apparently he still had to pay child support for a child that the woman is having that "isnt his". Now the child was his ( i think) but the thing is thar, the dad wanted a dna test (again he is the ahole so no sympathy), and the mum didnt want to. The judge said that regardless of whether its his child or not, since theyre marrier, he has to pay for the kid. To me its fkd up. Not this scenario in particular but imagine having to pay support for a child that isnt urs.
