being on BC or having a vasectomy is his/her business and no one else's his/her body his/her choice. it is not the having birth controll that is the red flag, it is saying that she is and that it is okay to cum inside. that is the red flag. to emphasize that you are on birth control typically means that you are lying and that you aren't. the action of taking some form of BC, not a red flag Saying that you are using it, is a red flag. he thought nothing of it at first, but he was looking back in hindsight.

Like some others have said I find it super weird that OP thinks being on Birth Control is a Red Flag but not telling your partner you got snipped is totally fine. Birth Control is used by many women to help regulate their cycles. I actually know someone who had sever, hospitalization level migraines every month until she went on BC. Obviously the whole situation is still shitty, but based on that assessment Im willing to bet we are missing a few details about the relationship somewhere.

That very much seems a "suspected her of something, but couldn't prove it," and "unresolved issues in your own life that your not mentioning" kind of thing. It took me about two and a half years years to get a vasectomy, to think about life and my situation, whether I was okay with permanently never having kids, whether or not my situation would improve and then I might want kids and more. There's certainly people who don't think that deeply and get vasectomies for less, but damn, it's certainly a bigger decision than many people make it out to be.

I don’t know how true this story actually is but for any story that is even closely related to this. I’ll still always feel bad for the child. There are a lot of innocent children in this world that are born into a shit show. I was lucky enough to have both my parents in my life but I even have a friend who doesn’t even know what a mom or dad is. He was constantly moved to new custody as he grew up. The failure rate for a vasectomy is much less than condoms or IUDs. Yes, it still does happen but it's already rare for IUDs to fail, let alone a vasectomy. (Source: vasectomy paperwork I got 9 weeks ago.)
