These commentators are insufferable. Medical emergencies outweigh birthday celebrations 100 times out of 100. The “mother” was wrong for faking, OP’s response was warranted.

Not when it comes to the wife/girlfriend. Men are meant to put their girlfriends/wives on pedestals. Men are not allowed to care about anyone but their wife/girlfriend. It's a red flag if a man comes between their gf/wives family friends, that's meant to show them that they are controlling/abusive. It's a red flag if the man tries to keep a relationship with his family.

It takes a certain amount of mental disconnection, similar to the people related to murderers who say things like "he was just so nice and quiet" denial kicks in so hard that they literally can't grasp it

@@jedediahcoulbourne1791 i think i understand it more now that you explained this. yea it makes sense that denial and shock takes over, kind of like how when you lose someone ur brain doesn’t really comprehend what happened and it takes a while for u to finally realize that the person is gone i think personally the reason i found it stupid was bc my dad was also this horrible of a person and it was really easy for me to cut him out of my life but that’s because he was always a bad person, i would probably also be in denial if i always saw him as a good person and he suddenly did something so horrible

(all my options so if you disagree please do it respectfully) Humans are strange.. they rather sit there in denial or validate themselves. I genuinely believe the people saying "he was a kid" have some sort of ideas or have done it OR are mentally unwell (no offense) I can understand friends and family denying it ever happened because "oh I know them! They would never!" But people who have NEVER known the OP's cousin (people online) saying it wasn't his fault have to have some pedo thoughts or are defending it because a family member did it to them and they grew up believing that was ok. The op said he did it to them when he was 17 if I remember correctly, that's old enough to understand what's right and wrong. I hope he doesn't have any form of access to children (he shouldn't sense he's not the family doctor.. his supposed to be wife is, right? No one in their right mind would allow him near anyone if he's not a doctor, right??) (Any spelling mistakes is from autocorrect or fat fingers)

@@doodlefox.0.5 i agree w you. "he was just a kid" is never a good excuse because even a 10 yr old can be able to tell what's right and wrong if they were raised right, it seems to me that this guy's family in this story kept enabling him and that's why he never learned and kept doing horrible things. it is disgusting seeing strangers online read stories like this and then say that the attacker did nothing wrong. it basically just sounds like to me that they're trying to convince themselves that their similiar actions aren't wrong. anyone who defends an attacker is automatically a bad person, i don't make the rules i do agree that some people might be defending attackers if they had smthn similiar happen to them and they got brainwashed into thinking those actions were ok, which is really really sad bc i see myself in that, i was abused by my dad my whole childhood and i always thought it was normal behaviour until i started getting family therapy and my family therapist noticed that my past wasn't okay and sent me to have personal therapy bc of it and that is when i really realized that what i went through was messed up. at the end of the day it's about the mindset you have and the way you were raised. but then again even if someone was raised perfectly their entire life, they could still end up attacking someone so honestly it's a difficult topic in general and you never really know what's going on inside a person's head, mentality can mess you up edit: i'm so sorry if the words i'm using is super wrong and if my grammar is bad, english is not my first language and i'm a minor

@@dollsite it's ok I understand you completely, I grew up thinking that getting hit, being emotionally and verbally abused was normal and "apart of a healthy relationship" this ended up making me believe that in a relationship I should we scard of that person because "that's how people respect one another as my father so lovingly said. Children learn this behavior from others and children learn empathy from others so I'm guessing that man never learned any of it, meaning that we can see a glimpse into the life that guy lived. Obviously that's no excuse and hopefully that doctor never went threw with that wedding

Story 1 Good Lord, give Op a break. His mom had an emergency. Or he thought she did. He already told his girlfriend about his mom's medical issues when they first started dating. He didn't mean to hurt her. And I think she needs to get over herself a bit. Pouting and sending out her flying monkeys. Needing HER feelings validated. Like what? Sheesh. This relationship is doomed.

While I agree with you about what op did. As someone who has dated 2 ppl with siezures. 1) Tou do NOT move a seizure patient. You move objects away from the person. 2) CALL AN AMBULANCE. Paramedics have more equipment and medications to handle a seizure than stuffing someone in a car and driving them.

Story 1: I've dealt with seizures for my Mom and my kid. Yes I know that it turned out OP's Mom was pulling crap. Now before the big reveal, OP is golden. He dropped anything (including his selfish, entitled, disgusting, pathetic on little B of a GF.) went immediately to his Mom. Miss B got left at Red Lobster, so F'ing what. No,she had to whine and cry about it too her monkeys. Did she honestly think that if she threw a tantrum like a freaking toddler that OP would wouldn't up and leave her in the future if Mom had another seizure. Now let's talk about the commenters. Slamming OP left and right. Your GF is your priority, B S. Those commenters are total brain dead idiots that are too stupid to "give advice" to someone in OP's position. Some were ignorant enough to still slam OP for bailing after he found out that his Mom was faking. OP didn't find out Mom was faking until after the Red Lobster dinner. People showed their stupidity in saying that Dad could've handled her. Those people don't have a clue what it takes to get a person off the floor after a seizure. Call for an Ambulance. Get her to the hospital. You going to pay that ambulance bill and whatever the insurance won't cover for the hospital visit. A lot of times people who have seizures don't want to be hauled off to the hospital. Why? Simple, it's happened enough times that they know exactly what will happen in the hospital. Alright, I'm done with my rant.

It gets under my skin how people prioritize someone they lust for over family, I understand story 1, but the commenters don't have a reliable family member which is why they are upset at him dropping everything and leaving. If you love your family truly care for them hearing how they have seizures and what not and nobody can help them but you, you betcha bottom you'd be there every time, he could of handled it better but he's worried he done nothing wrong.

I think this channel had a video about a 15 year old girl being pressured to cut off her back left hair to give to her aunt who lost her hair to cancer. The 15 year old was adopted into the family. She went to Reddit and a good portion of the comments told her she should stop being selfish and cut her hair for her aunt. She ended up doing it and now is extremely sad side note her aunt isn't even wearing her hair and decided to get a couple of wigs and will rotate her hair along with the wigs. Reddit has douchebags who will come in more than the people who actually understand the context of the situation
