Sounds like you had a cool dad with a great sense of humor, too many dads back then were just wound up so tight they couldn’t enjoy this song, they were also the same dads complaining about those long hair hippie freaks etc etc yess sir times were different back then, or maybe things haven’t changed all that much they’ve just replaced hippies and sex with other things to complain about 😂

I'd say in a couple years all the kids therein would in fact be old enough for this kind of humor if only they'd been brought up with any humor at all .... saaad! 😢 Such a masterful performer that Chuck Berry ....

How the heck do you know all the words.. unless your grandpappy or some other person sang it to you in your young youth. My grandpappy sang jimmy cracked corn and some other hen house things to me.. but Chuck Berry has been my idol not just as a musician etc.. cause other than his extreme musical talent, I've lived in St. Louis and been to his club on the 'loop' - Blue Berryhill - enough times that besides the food, location, or shitty as fuck comedy/bandstand in the basement.. that location is a landmark. And by god Chuck Berry has always been and will always be a musical genius.

Thanks to all the peeps who push the boundaries of creation. Chuck was one. You're truly doing God's work.
I am now 67 years old. I remember the first time I heard this song. I had my radio wake me in the morning and this was playing. My parents thought I was crazy when I told them the words - We all had a good laugh. To happen to have a little budgie now and we have songs recorded for him. Little guy loves certain songs and THIS is one of them. He goes to town when this plays. My grandchildren all get a good laugh when they hear the song. One of those that have aged well throughout the years…. J
Wow! 1972 I wasn’t even thought of! I came out in 1985! This is BRILLIANT! 😂😂👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁
Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry were the first musicians I ever heard, from that moment on I was hooked. Now at 62 my taste in music is extremely eclectic, yet I will always go back to Chuck and Bo when I feel music today is flailing.
Between Chuck's singing and guitar, his comedic interaction with his audience was legendary. Crowd participation was always a great thing for him.
For everyone who was ever introduced to this man's music he was truly grace the gift we didn't deserve an absolutely brilliant entertainer who possessed talent ahead of his time a big thanks to the uploader great video
Havent heard this in awhile lol still as funny

Such a great man, musician and personality. So sorely missed, RIP Chuck Berry Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
This song never gets old or boring. This rendition is the best I've seen and heard.
This was a great hit when it came out, I love it 🤣😀 🤣
Saw him do this live at a rock festival in the early 1970s
I'm 63...song was out 10+ years when I first heard it...was shocked as little boy by lyrics but seen it had double meaning. Got to know more of Chuck Berry music. Loved his energy and his audience involvement. I think i got to see him and Fats Domino at University with surprise they were both still with us. Great concert. Chuck lived to 90s. Only recently left us. Thank you Chuck!
65 yrs young. I remember this Song. NYC Bronx. Wish I could have been there!❤😅
I can't believe now that we got to sing this one day in junior high assembly! What fun and laughter.
Brilliant. Back in the days where we could have a great time, and not thinking we are offending some one!
My dad told me 1 day when we went fishing. At the river, he said. Do you know your mom's got to do your laundry? And I realized that I was wiping up with my shirt.
Not heard this since my drinking days. This was on the jukebox in a few of the bars I hung out at.

When I was in high school, I was the one that had all the parties. This song was played at one of them & the whole party started singing it. It was crazy how that happened & how loud it got. This was around '89 so I was surprised by how many people knew it. Such good times!

I once had an ex start singing the chorus of this to me. We were trying to be on the DL. His sister was in the room and his dad down the hall. I kept telling him to shut up lol. I never realized until now it was an actual song This was a much more entertaining 11 minutes than it should have been. Chuck Berry was a true legend
I'm still not sure wether or not this is an aweaomely unique song, or an awesomely unique stand-up routine, it falls so well between the two
