What I've discovered when knitting with cotton using bigger needles, is using metal needles instead of wooden ones helps the cotton go smoothly and faster

These podcasts are so friendly feeling! Thanks for squeezing in the time to do them! Would you be able to talk about Arthur's knit baby wardrobe sometime? As a Grandma I am curious to know what things I can knit that will be useful to a new mom...

I love working from printed patterns or a book! I use a sticky note to keep track of where I am and it helps a lot, then I can also scribble notes and tally marks on the sticky note as well!

Parenting expectations vs reality... this humbles me daily... I wanted to have only a few nice wooden toys. Lol. When they start to crawl and walk, a basket of toys is what's keeping them from pulling everything out of any drawer they can find 😂

Just a suggestion for crochet blanket Try repeat the center separate the stitch on to blanket around like a border then to keep cohesive do a few rows around
@emmastone5063 Жыл бұрын
I think those feelings you have about the blanket taking so much longer the farther along you get are for sure felt by all crocheters! Making smaller squares breaks up the work, giving you small accomplishments along the way, not sure what look you're going for but maybe you could make smaller squares and attach them along the perimeter! It might make it feel like a more feasible project to finish!

Ooh, nice idea! She could repeat the square at the center of her blanket. It would just take a little math to match up the stitch count so she had full squares all the way around. 🧶

I love these new videos!!!! We had our babies around the same time (maybe a month or two apart?) it’s so comforting to see a crafter who is a new mother. I was honestly relieved that I prioritized what I love to do when time is so precious. I almost feel more inspired with my daughter to do the things I’ve always wanted to do. Needless to say, you are AWESOME! You go mom 👏🏼

Your unedited podcast was great….I say keep doing it that way and save that time for Arthur/knitting/crocheting etc. I laughed when you held up your Regia Tweed socks because I was literally knitting a sock with the exact yarn! I did kind of want to rip back because yours is so cute. Do you mind sharing with me how many rounds you did for the cuff and then how many rounds you did on the leg before starting the heel? I also love the idea you shared to add more to Arthur’s blanket as he grows…..I might use that idea also. Thanks for your podcast…..again it was wonderful!

I like those non-edited videos and it's completely understandable for a mom with small baby to not have enough time for something else. And it's necessary, those videos are just fine ☺️ Something about what you said in the beginning - I heard once a frase that I liked so much that I adopted it and I am using it for my situation. It goes something like - "Before I have kids I had four million ideas how to raise children. Now I have four kids and any idea how to raise them" 😂 And that's true!

I made an open gauge cotton sweater and was so meh about the final product since it was so basic and gave off a very unpolished vibe. However, a year later, it is now my most worn knit. I’ve made another and will likely make a few more. Soft and airy with tons of drape. It is the star of my go-to summer outfit. It’s not the most impressive piece but it is the most comfortable.
