Considering the bleeding wool, I was told to mix a splash of vinegar into the washing water. That's keeping the colour locked in, apparently! The jumper looks so cool on you!
Gosh this gave me flashbacks! My boys are 17 months apart and watching you has reminded me of how exhausted I was running after a toddler and heavily pregnant. My second pregnancy was definitely not as enjoyable as the first, and I don't think i knitted at all during that time. I have made up for it now as both boys (now 4.5 and 3) pick out a knitted jumper and beanie every year. You are on the home stretch! Rest lots and enjoy the last moments of being a family of 3!!
Ooooh I LOVE Hilda sweater ! Thank u to the algorithm for sending me your vlog ! I purl loses so my gauge would be open as well compared to cable which is more of a knit gauge . To combat my loose purl I use a smaller needle in my left hand ( I knit English / throw ), You sound like me with the dislike of the ribbing and moss stitch … telling you it is the “deadly purl stitch” 😂
Your black mesh sweater is so flattering on you. It’s perfect!
I love the sweater you're wearing. Gorgeous on you! Enjoy whatever time you want to knit and take good care. It and we will all be here whenever you feel like sharing. Your yarn store is lovely! - All the best, Kimberly
Green and yellow are a great choice. Those colours are so you, they go well with your hair
Love the Hilda sweater! I think its actually so versatile! As long as the colors match, I think that you can wear it over a dress or another shirt like a button up or turtleneck
Always love your videos and updates! Loving all the textured knits- I’m feeling inspired now to cast something on with texture myself! I also have two little ones and my second pregnancy I could definitely relate to all your same feelings 🫶🏼Hang in there, your baby will be here so soon!
Love your sweater! Very unique and looks great on you.
I was more tired the second time around too! I think it's because you already have a little one to care for. Physically and mentally. Hang in there, you look great!
I'm knitting the Ingrid slip over. I love it x
Your mesh sweater looks fantastic! I don’t think that it needs more blocking. The mesh is so even.
The Wooly Knit navy merino definitely bleeds *a lot*, as does the purple 😬 I've actually just finished designing a massive colourwork jumper in the navy, with a white CC. All through the blocking process I was praying it wouldn't bleed 🤞🏻 Luckily, whilst it did bleed quite a bit into the water, none of the colour bled into the white yarn. I chucked about three colour catchers into the water whilst it was soaking, so maybe they helped 🤔
I am new to your podcast. Please explain "blocking"
Which yarn shop did you go to ?? I'd love to know more yarn shops in Brussels, and that one looked lovely
