22:36 I remember suggesting in Twitch Chat “En Forkssant” as a possible name for this unique En Passant Check Fork. I love these funny and crazy lines and much love to Adfost for showing all of us (and Eric) the Traxler. Best of luck to them achieving the National Master Title, Adfost definitely deserves it!
14:44 You tried to castle with your opponent's rook. LOL
Absolutely watched the whole thing! What a game. Good stuff to adfost. Thanks for including some analysis and showing that mate in 16. Craziness

Great video, Eric, thanks. I really enjoyed it - good fun and a few laughs, too.
WOW! Amazing game. I have new respect for this line now. Thanks for sharing the game Eric.

On move 15 I really liked the idea of bishop back to c4, giving back the knight! after bxc3 bxc3 you win a tempo on the knight and open up a route for developing your dark squared bishop. I could easily be missing some tactics though.
3:34 a check given and u retreating the bishope threating to fork looked good with ideas of b3
Honestly you are so funny. I was dying of laughter around minute 14:00 onwards lol. You have such a good personality, don't tell gothamchess (who I really I enjoy) but I find you more entertaining

If there was a variant of chess that you can only play gambits, Eric would be a super-GM.
Play this dude more. These are awesome. Watched the whole thing!
never have I seen Rosen struggle this much in a chess game. 'Twas fun to watch!
I played this a lot growing up and never knew it had a name until I saw Levy's video series on it. Its chaos

With the position at 11:55 in this game from Aug 22nd, what was the reason for not considering playing the knight from C3 to A4?
Really cool game I watched the whole thing and want more

5:07 ok, i'm not going to be looking at chat.... spends 20 seconds looking at chat and thanking people
At 9:25, after Black plays ...b5, try countering with b4, which prevents Black from advancing his pawn to that square. If Black plays Qxb4, White can now counter with Rb1, which attacks the queen and piles up on Black's b5 pawn, nullifying that threat. And if Black does NOT play Qxb4, then the queen has to move to a square where it cannot protect both its b5 and e5 pawns.
Crazy game, that was awesome!!
The last time I was on a roller coaster of this caliber was at Universal Studios 20 years ago
White king: lemme cast real quic- Black king: nah-uh-uh not today
i´ve only seen this part, where are the other ones? nevermind found them in the description.

Hi Eric, great game. Do you think you could do a Traxler with 5.Bxf7+ line? thanks
Fun game. What at march by the King.
Eric goes quantum: "My king is randomly really safe".
“ I feel like Nigel Short but slightly taller” 😭😭😭
How do you use an engine in chess online.. seems like it would be great way to learn.. I play a little on we chess but I don't know how to use it.
4:12 Black had the opportunity to play bishop to e2, to which if queen takes, the black knight forks the queen and the rook.
@DR13Gamer
2 жыл бұрын
I don't see any forks with the knight, but instead you can just take the queen with the knight right away? So the queen wouldn't take the bishop probably. It would still be very dangerous for white but I don't see the fork you are referring to
Fascinating game wow
I was sure during the game that queen b6 check would lead to a checkmate.. Didn't think it was gonna be in 16..but it apparently gets dragged out with spite checks and sacs.
I was surprised...expected a dirty stalemate ! Fun game.
Made it so far: Would have liked to see the analysis of the previous game.
What a game, wow! :)
That King Walk - Rook trap was epic!
When an IM is struggling against an opponent he's up 6:2 against, then the opening is probably pretty good.
the best move by black before d5 when white doesn't take the bishop is Bb6 and then d5
"Do you really want to hurt me?" ~Boy George (also, E. Rosen under attack)
I take the bishop on F2 and go King G1 when knight E4 check.. You trap your rook in the corner.. but it seems to go ok anyway, there's just not many attacks for black from what I could see in my analysis. By that point you're up a Bishop and a rook for your likely-to-be-trapped knight The other option is to reverse traxler - Bishop F7 instead of Knight F7 just wins a pawn, then I retreat with the bishop and go for the fried liver-like attack anyway. But am low rated.. just studied up on the traxler lol
LOL, how can it be...? The king is travelling and trap the rock. 🤣
Traxler Gambit: Oh no my queen and time!
What a wild game!
You crushed this guy
done all the way, great , so tricky
Wonder if playing Qf5 on 15:23 as black is a good move. It prevents Kxa8 because of mate in one with Qc8. And if king is not taking the rook I would probably play Qc8 next move anyway.
Fantastic!
The king was like "I will do it myself"
It's rare that I see Eric actually almost bamboozled by a position. In fairness, the engine struggles to evaluate this too. Amazing play by both sides.

Levy literally said if your opponent knows what he just played then he either must of used an engine or watched his vid so Eric might also need to check his lichess acc to see if he’s using an engine or he’s just a diehard gothamchess fan who knows his stuff😂
This is the coolest game I ever seen
1:11 after Qxd6, instead of playing d3, why can't the knight on h8 be moved to f7? It is protected by the bishop and attacks the queen! Depending on where the queen moves, knight can then jump to g5 or capture the pawn on e5. Or white can play any other move after the queen moves.

I was thinking the same xd
How could we not watch the whole thing when yesterday was such a cliffhanger?
He had so many opportunities to trap black's dark squared bishop
25:30 Hey, I watched the whole thing.
This game was way over my head.
so glad to see all 3 traxlers in a row =)
"Oh no my King! My handsome king! I forget how to play chess"
This game has so many puzzles in it
27 ..Qb6+ would that not have been a bdetter move for black, sacrifcing the rook and getting the dark bishop into attack for mate?
traxler really does look scary XD for both sides
"En forksant". Nice games. :)
@15:16 I think Eric's King don't really threaten the Rook because of Qf5 going for the Qc8 if eric decided to take the rook..
In move 27 you can play Rhf1 followed by Ba4.
At the end of the video I was like "Gee, that was hell of a game!"
16:49 Qb6>Kxa8 only move>Bd6 is forced mate, only thing white can do is push black's king away to c7 and then sac all the pieces to delay it. Actually surprised I saw this immediately then checked and it's correct.
