My Dad was the exact same way. In the beginning, he referred go her as "that dog." As time went on, dhe waited every evening for him with her chin on a low windowsill and he would wslk in the ftont door and ssy"How is my girl tjis evening?" My Mother and I would eyeroll each other because we knew he didn't mean us! Hahaha.

How wonderful your aunt and uncle will be in France near to their loved ones. And I can relate to the romance. My husband (45 years now) once brought me a big beautiful bouquet for no reason at all. I was shocked. Then he said he found them in a dumpster behind a floral shop while walking to his car after work. Such is true love. ❤️

I know it must be a bit intrusive, but I'd love to see your Aunt and Uncle's new house one day! So fabulous that they will be in the same country. ❤

Hello! Animal health specialist here, I work in an animal hospital. If you find yourselves giving too many treats for training because it really helps then try Cheerios! Not sure if you have them in France but we have them in the US! Cheerios are nearly zero calories and won't cause GI upset like training treats may cause, this can sometimes lead to paw babies having the liquid browns! And then we worry about dehydration if that happens! Also, Cheerios have important grains the K9s need for their heart health too!

Lancelot is so adorable! He is still very young and long walks are not ideal for him, one human step is probably four for Lancelot, so for you it´s a short walk but for him is a long one! I have four Mini Pinscher, they look very similar to Lancelot, and they use wool sweaters for the cold, it looks like a turtle neck sweater. It really helps maintain the body´s temperature for them. That beautiful jacket Lancelot is wearing is not enough to keep the whole little body warm. I buy the thick sweaters for outside, and some thinner ones for inside, because my house is big and difficult to warm all the rooms. Look in internet and you may find those warm sweaters for him!!

I agree about the walks. This is still a pup and a small dog as well. I'm not sure how long of walks they take but they should be mindful of this. Good call on the sweaters. Maybe Stephanie can learn to make a few from her older moth eaten ones. That would be a start. Or Jerry could perhaps find some good Scottish wool ones where he lives. 🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺🐕

It's so fun to see Stephanie fall in love with little Lancelot. I hope we see more of your aunt and uncle now, they are so lovely. I was hoping they were going to be close so we would see them daily but we'll take what we can get! I'm sorry to see Maria go but so happy Marie is staying. I want so much for her to be happy!

I don't know if anyone else has suggested this - but with my dog when we give her treats, we give her some of her dry biscuits she has for her meals. We realised a couple years ago it had the same effect but it was better for her in the long run to have that instead of actual treat biscuits.

So excited to see the Norwegian Christmas traditions. I love Marie so much, can’t wait to get to know her Mom and sister. ❤

It's always a strange feeling when people leave LaLande Maria safe travels and warm wishes! Such happy news to have Chantel and Steven and Andy moving to France - that will make visits much easier. So glad Marie's Mom and sister are there for a visit - I adore Marie and glad she is surrounded by people who love her. Lancelot sure has Stephanie trained very well! 😉 He's such a joy!

Poor Molly must think that everyone is leaving her! I know she is being loved and looked after, whilst her loving owners are away on their hols though. Launcelot is doing so well, and I think that he was scared of the chickens. It was so good he was not trying to attack them, as you said Stephanie. I love those beautiful bedrooms, and that wonderful paper you and Philip put up in the bathroom of the Grandmother's suite. Folk come and go all the time at your place, and it is enriched by it all. Launcelot is getting more calm at having folk around. Congratulations to your Uncle and Auntie at getting their home in France, and to your other lady guest who has done the same. We are all going to miss the lovely Maria, but hope to see her again next year, as a guest. She is such a talented young woman, and became part of the Lalande family. xxx

I am a big fan of you, and you have become like a dear part of my life and something to look forward to at the end of the day. ❤ I hope I am not intrusiv for saying this, I say out of love that Lancelot looks cold and is shaking outside. I wonder if he needs a varmer coat? he is so lovely but tiny, and more like an indoor dog than an outdoor cruiser, not really made for walks in the woods? Perhaps a dog shoe might help? Lancelot….. no words can express the joy he brings us! We love him like he’s ours.

My maternal grandparents were from Norway. One of my favorite Christmas memories was making the Fattigmann Bakkels or Poor Man's Cakes (but they were really more a cookie). It just wasn't Christmas without them. I do so hope that is one of Marie's mothers traditions as well.

I‘m not sure that a dog will understand how getting a treat after he‘s already been picked up has anything to do with having been a good boy BEFORE he got picked up. He‘ll just think that getting picked up is even better than he thought, as he gets additional treats.

Amaury and Nati may prefer to keep their home life private. I'm on board with that. They are already on video where they work. Chantelle and Stephen will probably give us a tour when they are ready. We saw their home in the UK and the work Amaury did to that. It was beautiful.

Stephanie & Phillip you will find that Lancelot will take care of you. Now you ask how well my little chihuahua Gracie saved my life. I passed out and was on my side. Gracie was able to roll me on my back & jump my check & at the same time barked differently for my hubby. Who then was able to get 911 there. Now my chihuahua is the same size as Lancelot. He will protect & take care of both of you ❤🐾🐾🐾🐾

Tip for puppies.... Give him food instead of treats. They can contain a lot of salt and the dog does not mind. It's about getting something... They invented treats for the humans 😉 Geef je puppy gewoon een brokje van z'n voer. Het hoeft geen snoepje te zijn. Er zit vaak een hoop troep in, oa zout. Ze zijn al blij als ze iets krijgen... Ze (als in de verkopers) hebben de koekjes verzonnen voor ons mensen 😉
