    God bless Chiba. Hard to believe there are such comfortable and brand new apartments for that price. What a ripoff. If I ever find an IT related job in Japan (I'm majoring in cybersecurity), I'm definetely checking that out.

    Yes I know plenty of people who pay much higher rent for much smaller apartments in Tokyo. Chiba is a great option if you want the accessibility to Tokyo but also want a comfortable living space (providing you don’t live too deep into Chiba)

    Chiba was the one area (That I went to) that I really felt like I was unwanted as a foreigner. Got a few death stares in Chiba park and a lot more confused "what the hell are you doing here?" type stares when walking around... Hope the situation for you isn't like that but just be fair warned that Chiba seemed to be not a foreigner friendly area. For reference, wasn't allowed in 2 bars in Sumida aka "No Gaijin" and shooed away so just be warry of where you're at! Love the apartment and hope it works out for you!

    I’ve been in Chiba 6 years and never had any kind of situation like that. Although I do live right on the border of Chiba and Tokyo. Chiba city is pretty bad tbh I never go there, there’s just nothing to do there. There’s almost no foreigners in Chiba either. I think it just depends on the people you come across but I’ve had more death stares back in my own hometown in England haha

    Amazing apt for the price! Just a note, it's not a 2LDK, it's a 1LDK. 1LDK = 1 bedroom + living room + dining/kitchen space The number in the front only refers to bedrooms....

  • @Retro_Japan

    @Retro_Japan

    14 күн бұрын

    Thanks for watching! I’ll have to take it out with the housing company then as it’s listed as 2LDK. This kind of design is pretty common though with a separate room behind sliding doors. I used to think it was basically a scam to have 1 big room with sliding doors in the middle but I get the appeal now after living here
