A common problem for Fox Body convertibles is when water seeps inside the car from damaged and dry pillar post and door weatherstripping. To avoid this problem, we suggest you try these quality reproduction seals.
For installation, remove the metal clip at the top of the weatherstrip. Then, tear off the old weatherstrip and make sure to get all of the little pieces out of the channel. Once this is removed, you are able to clearly see the door's weatherstripping.
To remove this, you'll first need to remove the pillar post channel. Then, you'll need to remove the pillar panel, speaker cover, kick panel, door sill plate, and loosen the quarter trim panel. You will then pull off the old door weatherstrip, making sure to get it all off before installing the new one.
Secure the new door weatherstrip, then install the pillar post channel. Return all parts removed from your Mustang for installing the door weatherstrip. Add some WD-40 to the pillar panel channel, add adhesive to the new weatherstrip, and then slide it into place. Total installation for the weatherstrips on both sides will take a few hours.

Man you have no idea how grateful i am for this video, i haven't watched it yet but im going to right now, i have a 91 gt convertible and several years ago i took my weatherstrip out and the pillar post one and said "oh ill just put some new ones later,well 4 years later it still has no weather strip and no pillar post, i do have some new ones i just don't know how to install them,my problem is at the end of the door weather strip,how to cut it on top, well im gonna watch the video,thanks again man!!!

Where can I find the Pillar Weatherstrip retaining Clips @ 1:08?? Mine are gone and I’d like to install these using the correct pieces. They should sell them with the replacement weatherstripping but they don’t! Thanks

Guess I’ll have to fabricate a couple retaining clips.
