seems it would be easy just to use velcro for the whole install. so there is already holes tapped for the 93 option headliner then why not use the existing holes?

+john Hey john,installing a top is something that requires a lot of patience and skill, kinda like autobody work. I'm a mechanic and i wont tackle it but if its your cup of tea a place called autotops.net sells a really good video for 20 bucks that will give you every single detail down to the last staple and its done by a guy thats been installing tops for like 30 years, well worth it. On the subject of the luggage rack,dont mess with removing it,you will have a million holes to fill and if you can find a excellent welder good luck,when you try and fill the holes more than likely you will warp the trunk lid with the heat from the welder, what i did is i bought a trunk lid from mustangs unlimited(LRS might carry one also.you have to buy one for a coupe (no luggage rack) took it to my bodyman and he painted it to match my car and i installed it, looks awesome,luggage racks are awful looking so i got rid of mine ASAP.

please make a convertible top install.

Somehow the 1/8 drill bit was just small enough so the cheap buttons kept snapping off the head. I had to make the hole slightly bigger but any more than that and the hole was too big, so ya, wats up with that LMR? You couldn't find a cheaper install kit SMH

Hey there, unfortunately, we have not tested this headliner with a style bar. We do recommend checking into some forums and seeing if any other owners have installed one before.

Will an 83 convertible frame work in a 93?

Hey Shawn, after looking into some of the details, the convertible design won't be a complete swap. The design from 83-90 and the 91-93 are different and causes fitment issues when making the swap. We recommend using the right generation to ensure proper fitment.
