The quarter window weatherstrips on Fox Body convertibles tend to dry out and crack over time, and when this happens, water can get between the glass and end up inside the car. These new rubber seals between the door glass and the quarter window will help prevent this sort of damage to your Mustang.
First, you'll need to remove the original weatherstripping from the window, which can be a bit difficult. Then, you'll want to spray some WD-40 on the new weatherstrip piece, as well as some in the channel. Line up the new weatherstrip with the channel, and slide it down until it is secured in place. Total installation takes up to half an hour.

Do you have a video you could post showing the outer belt quarter window strip (bottom piece). Its for a 87 convertible.

The quarter window literally pulled out of the track, how does one go about putting it back into the track without breaking the glass?

I haven't had that issue but I would guess you need to unbolt the track and check the guides on the glass.
Hello! What's the part # for 2003 convertible?
someone plz help me I have a 2001 convertible mustang v6 and the passenger quarter window vertical seal ripped and I can't find a replacement anyone know where I can find this part I've looked for days

@@coreymitchell3900 no, ended up getting a used window from mpsautosalvage.com I think it was like 35.00 amd it came with a perfect seal on the window
