She's such a beautiful mare, I mean they're all gorgeous but she does stand out. Lilac would be a cute name to match her halter, then again I've named my young colt War so can I be trusted hahah.
Hey Sam, glad you got to your destination safe and sound with your mustangs. It was nice meeting you, especially after watching some of your videos. I wasn't prepared to hear myself in this one. I didn't realize you were shooting when I walked up. Didn't mean to interrupt! Best of luck on your Makeover training.
Okay sorry for being so slow, but I just found this series and I cant tell you how much I have enjoyed them. Looking forward to the rest. TY Sam
💜🦄💜 Girl! Where ya been lately? I miss your videos. I have to tell you, I’ve ridden/trained/competed on, horses my entire life...30+ years...and I pull 95% of my mustang gentling and training skills from your videos. It amazes me that you’re as young as you are, have only been in the horse world for a few years, and have the abilities that you have! You are a true example of a horsewoman...born with your talents and “feels” for the trade. You are truly blessed, as are the mustangs you adopt and train. I just recently adopted my 2nd mustang, after training and adopting out my first. I found myself kinda “stuck” in some areas with my 1st, so I started searching KZread for tips...that’s when I found you and your videos. I’m so glad I did, bc being a horsewoman myself and understanding what I’m seeing when I watch you, I’m like, “ok! So that’s how you do it!” You’re amazing sis, keep up the great work!! 💜🦄💜

I’ve been trying to upload as often as I can 😊
She’s a beauty. Love the lilac halter with her coloring. Ah, the adventure begins...so excited! Do your magic Sam!
While they were working on the pen... Sam: I know theres work to do but look at the horse. Also it looks like you got lucky, the mustang that you got has really good body language. She is scared but she's droping her head and trying to figure things out and reaching with her head and neck. Witch is what you want from a mustang.
that halter really makes her mane and eyes pop that last shot of her eating grass 😍

I didn't know that about Mustangs, thank you for explaining it to us
Congrats on your girl! And thanks for stating all those facts about mustangs. My mustangs love being domesticated horses. They had to round up from my filly’s herd which is unusual but they had to because they were all starving. She’s literally the best filly ever, that herd is amazing
Yay! She’s beautiful. They all are. So excited to watch her journey with you. ❤️
Such a good little mare. She seemed to handle herself quite calmly here too despite a stressful situation. I loved this one from the beginning for her calm and curious demeanor, glad to see it is shown here too. Will be interesting to see how she transforms once she's no longer stressed.
She is so pretty can’t wait to see your progress ❤️
I’m so excited to watch your journey with this new little mustang! Good luck! :)
Ughhh All these mustang videos and pictures are making me want a mustang! Wish i could get one so bad!

I'm so excited for this one! She seems so good minded.
Thank u for being a great ambassador. Great explanation of a very complex issue
Yay at last !!! It seems like it has taken forever to get here ... giddy up💫
I think you’re doing amazing work .. I’m glad you aren’t letting the haters just be jerks ... keep on the GREAT work. If I wasn’t such a newbie In The equestrian world, I would do this too. I’m just not a superwoman like you. ROCK ON SAM VANFLEET. Really proud of you!
Interesting, informative, well filmed with good sound. Excellent!
You travelled 17 hours one way!? Wow! My mother doesn’t even want to go 10 😅
Very clear explanation to the gathering of Wild Horses. Good Job Sam . Communication is the key and many times it is hard for people to listen,
Thanks for showing such a great behind the scenes 👍
All of you're guy's picks look great! I see some nice conformation and size with all of them!
I can’t wait to see how she’s gonna turn out!
Good on you for adding that disclaimer. People spend too much time thinking with their heart and not with their mind. The work you guys are doing is 10x better than much easier options for herd management of a species with pretty much no natural predators. The folks making nasty remarks clearly have never seen "Barn cat syndrome" Or seen disease spread through a population of whatever critter. The reason we have the natural resources we have today is with actual management. The other option is get rid of the people to make more space for them....
Such beauty. Burnished. Phoenix rising! And toute femme too, so pretty
She is so calm but courious . Good luck to you both.
Love what you are doing. Keep up the good work. I’ve always wanted horse since I was little. Hope fully one day I would love to adopt one of my own and have place a place to keep. I think all of them are beautiful.
Your Player's Choice mare is so beautiful!
I would love to see a video on how you travel so far with your horses. I see your trip here was 17+ hours. Would love to see the details that go into it. I also have to say THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK! And thank you even more for sharing it! It’s really helped in my research of what to expect when I can finally bring home my own mustang.
Thank you for explaining this! It really helped my understanding of mustang adoption ❤️
Keep up the good work ! You are helping to save these horses ! The naysayers don’t have a clue 😝!
she's so cute wow ! also love that cremello
I think y’all are going to be so great as a pair! You and her both are so pretty!☺️
I can't wait until your training starts!
She is so pretty and she seems like she has a pretty calm temperament too. Can't wait to see how she goes.
I love her Sam. So excited to watch her development. I met a friend of yours at the Liberty, KY sale but I can't remember her name. Love your channel Sam. Keep up the great work
Gorgeous picks! 😍😍😍
Honestly at least the mustang heritage hasn’t treated them like auction houses or kill pens do.
I hope everything goes well. Good luck!
Love every video
oml that cremello one tho 😍 (p.s. congrats on your new horse, she's really gorgeous!💖)
I have really enjoy your road trips
I grew up in a state with Wild Horses. Thank you so much for the explanation of this program. It is so helpful for them! Thanks for what you are doing! - 10:20 Your mare really has a sweet face! She's a pretty girl. I can't wait to see what you do with her! ♥️
I got my mustang this year my mustang is amazing. He is really easy to work with 😃
Love your vids Sam! I'm doing the EMM any tips?
Good luck with your mustang!
Exciting!!!
You picked nice looking horse's 👍👌 good luck with them 👏👏
The mare is gorgeous 💟
When I first saw them gathering the wild horses I thought it was mean, but I'm one that must know WHY things are done so I watched a video and it all became clear.. I believe it was in Australia that they had horses thin, starving and dieing at waterholes.. Australia does shoot them, so gathering them here and controlling birth rates seems much more humanitarian than killing them.. I just love your abilities to work with horses. You make it look so easy, which its definitely not!! Keep up the great work..

Thank you for doing your research ❤️ it’s so much easier than having to explain to people that are open and willing the learn
These horses must be the cream of the crop, ( look wise) our local wild horses look wild. Long mainland tails. Thick neck look more like miniature draft horses. These look more refined. But you folks paid a decent amount for them and the black went for a crazy 6000+ great job to everyone who willing to take on training a mustang in general. More power to you girl!!
I wish you all were in VT... I so want a little mustang from you! Just something about them makes me so happy and yours are so well trained and behaved!

It’s so inspiring to see you doing this and I would DIE to be able to do this, but I’m too young 🤦🏼♀️
Sam, you are an intelligent lady and great spokesperson for this cause. I fear though you will not make any headway convincing those anti-mustang management people... they don't want reason, they are convinced they are right. It's a belief...can't reason with belief. But keep doing what you are doing, I like following you. You should get a logo on some T-shirts or some merch! Keep those videos coming, I plan to stop out to Paul's Valley myself when I get home this summer and am considering getting a mustang or two myself.
Thanks for Sharing!
The lilac halter 🥺❤️
There so beautiful I might be getting one of my own
She is so pretty. Best of luck Sammy.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is a pretty mare, looks like the one I had as a child.
Congratulations! When you are in MA are you gentling Mustangs? I missed the reply email from the person in CT near me seeing it a week later. I was excited she said yes and replied with all the times I could observe but perhaps it was too late. I'll try again and when the timing is right it will work out. I am enjoying my veeery tame Natural Horsemanship Class horse Zak. Very easy to catch in the pasture but we are going to do it for my sake to practice doing that with other horses around. Thank you for the video and encouragement. I still have the names of trainers in my area you gave me. Have a great night! Laural
I found an horse in nature some months ago and now he’s mine and I’m teaching him everything. I love him, his name is Daken
Seems like she knows her shit, good job, respects!!! 👍💯
❤️ gorgeous 🐴
Good to hear sane dialogue on blm and how it works. Still on my bucket list.
Hi Sam. Wondering if you have ever taken one of the Mustangs back to where they were rounded up for a ride on their "home turf"? Keep up the great work! Very informative. And Merry Christmas!!

Just out of curiosity, when and if you pull into a rest area. Do you ever take the horse for a poop walk? Sorry, my mind is really messed up. I think of weird stuff.
Yay!!!
She’s gorgeous🤗 I’m so excited to see what she’s like now, and in the future! Also, how long will you be staying in Texas before heading back home? Hope all your travels and training go smoothly🤞🏻 😉😊❤️

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU, SAM!!!
She’s so SO calm and collected. She would have walked calmly into the trailer if the other horse hadn’t hurried her.
I have been wondering how and where do you have to go to adopt the horses and what is the process
Would you consider her coloration to be a red dun?
Is she in foal? Her belly kind of looks like it.

@@lexromey8366 lmao yall are both being childish. KZread doesn't load the exact same time for everyone so for the one girl she might have been the first one (one her phone) and you might be the first one on your phone. Does it rlly matter who is here first or second or even last? No it doesn't it's litterally so childish to worry and fight about who is here first.

Yeah I did the exact same thing and you don't have to make sooooooo much drama
I applaud what you are doing with these mustangs, that are sitting in a holding pen with no future unless somebody adopts them. You make that possible for some of them. BUT, I adopted a yearling om 1997 or 1998, BORN in BLM holding, in Arizona. They swore he'd been wormed etc and taken good care of, and he was very tame, so that seemed to be correct, although I wondered why he was so small for his age. Within a week, I had to watch him die a most gruesome death, banging himself into walls, throwing himself on the ground with force, he was in so much pain. 4 big adults could not prevent him from doing this. A vet was present throughout the day, but there was nothing we could do for him. When he died, I asked the vet to open him up right then and there, I wanted to know what the heck had happened! He was stuffed with worms from one end to the other, his intestines all black. In other words, he died of gangrene because of worms, and this did not happen overnight, he was dead on his feet long before I adopted him. Hundreds of hundreds of horses in small holding pens, not being taken proper care of, then this is what happens. I cannot begin to describe the anguish I went through with him. To this day, I cry when thinking of it. BLM's reaction? "Well, that's just too bad. No, sorry, no refund, come pick up another horse if you want." Like I would EVER touch a BLM horse again? So, sorry, but I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT BLM. That being said, the mustangs that survive BLM, and land in your care, are the lucky ones. I love what you do.
Wow Sam, she's beautiful! Can't wait to see more vids.. You should name her Anna Claire!
😍😍😍😍😍😍
That is a lovely group if horses well done. I'm based in UK & of course we don't have opportunity to have one if these beautiful souls. The only part of these roundups if the round up I hate is the foals & mother separation I have seen. I don't feel it's right to be taking mothers foals or their herd stallion from wild only excess mares and older colts & adults. But I do understand the realities of what you were saying regarding sustaining land - if that side was addressed - that foals & mothers were left together with their herd stallion & re-released it would be much more acceptable to most people I think you'd find. Just putting my thoughts out there from outside looking in!
Great and lovely videos! How does that work when you adopt the horses there? do you pay a fee or they give them to you (no fee)?
@Moonrise361

Taylor- Really?! ... I thought it involved a lot of work and responsibility owning a horse. But hey if you say they don't poop or eat or move, it sounds easier, so that is a different story. - (.......!)
Okay I've got to ask. I can definitely tell they are a smaller horse but are they Hardy enough to carry a full grown man? I can definitely see that they are put together very well and are a small muscular horse. I was just wondering
I think that it proves that the horses doesnt have much to live on in the wild since alot of them are pretty skinny on pickup and gain weight fast in the care of the trainers. Imagine how they would look if they were free to breed without limits
Brazil rn has only a little over 50 mustangs in the wild.. you guys have ALOT of mustangs..
❤
One of the horses in the background is my mustang I got a couple years ago
Was that a cremello? Such an odd colour in a wild horse! Survival rate of such a colour would be fairly low
