Thank you for acknowledging that spicy bass riff at 6:32. I've seen numerous reactions to this song and most people don't notice it or comment on it. That's one of the best bass licks I've ever heard in my entire life.

They have a percussionist playing along with the drummer, they are very much in sync to the point it sounds like the drummer have 10 hands... xD Larnell sound like 2 drummers on his own, so together... It get crazy fast ;)

Awesome reaction, as always! Shout out to Nate Werth, who's the percussionist half of Snarky's rhythm section on this record. Him and Larnell are beastly together, and you can see more of him on the Zildjian Live series someone else recommended here in the comments. Larnell, Stanton Moore and Gergo Borlai's episodes are my personal faves, but he complements virtually EVERY drummer he plays with. I second the recommendation for Sleeper someone else made in the comments. It's the most emotionally-stirring track off this record for me. Also, if you wanna see Snarky play with a whole orchestra, The Curtain from their Sylva record is one heck of a journey too. I look forward to your future vids, man. Have a good one! :)

Thank you, so much! Nate is so good, he adds so much! Ya I gotta check these vids out! 👏😃👍
The whole album - We Like it Here - is great. Some of the tunes include a string section. But they just ran these down in the studio, so the strings just hung out for the next tune for them to play on.
Who can listen to that ending groove and not get hyped?! Love this band and really appreciate your reaction and insight. Always fun watching a musician reacting to good music!

Check out all of their album “Sylva” - which won a Grammy in 2016 for “Best Contemporary Instrumental”. It has a completely different flavour and textures throughout as they’re playing with the Metropole Orkest (the grooviest orchestra on the planet). Particularly The Curtain - just epic in scope - and Atchafalaya - what a groove! Make sure you check out the 3 live videos on Snarky’s channel!!!
