This band has no peer.

Lovebites play about 35% power metal, 30% thrash metal, 20% speed metal. The approximately remaining 15% are divided into hard rock, rock and ballads. But they often mix several of these styles of music into one song.🤘🐺🤘

I still believe that they have started a new Metal genre (to add to the other 70 or so) I call it "Class Metal". It encompasses all those other genres & sub genres. Hey! It's my dream. I can dream what I like. Ha! Ha!

Indeed. I really love their more thrashy songs, wish they'd lean more towards that side.

I forgot to mention last time, Midori's solo was totally insane, how can she do this??? But then there is the magnificent Miyako, so different but brilliant. All these ladies are just soooooooooooo breath taking to watch.

You’re in for for a musical treat if you check out their performance of Swan Song with Chopin Intro. One of the ladies is also a world class concert pianist and composer who took an extremely difficult Chopin piano Etude, performed it as an introduction, and then wove Chopin’s spirit into the rest of the song. If you do want to react to that one, make sure it says Chopin Intro in the Swan Song title because there is one video out there without it and it loses much of the impact without the Chopin Intro.

I respectfully call her "Ms. Happily Smiling Metronome". 😊 Always giving the pace for all of them reliably, relentlessly, mercilessly at any given speed or length of any song. She is a one-off. What a band! What a song! What a vibe! What a front person (Asami)! Unbelievable! Simply Lovebites 😁 🐺

The drummer - Haruna - is a pocket nuclear reactor. When he comes down from behind the drum kit at the end of the concert, he's not even sweaty! A phenomenal drummer.

Amazing Miho/Miyako masterpiece!

I go all the way back to Allman/Betts and Allman/Clapton, and I’ve never heard another song with two solos that were so great yet so different. This captures perfectly the contrasting styles and personalities of the two guitarists-Midori the extrovert and shredding demon, Miyako the introvert and goddess of blues (who can also shred when she feels like it). I was already hooked on Lovebites, and sold on the dual leads, but this is the song that completely sold me on just how great they are. Really nothing like them, ever. Thanks for coming back to them so quickly.

So glad you came back to my band so soon. I enjoyed the last reaction so much and now, having watched this one, you’ll be seeing a lot of me if you keep reacting to the ladies. I think you’re ready to see how versatile they are. This track was recorded live at the same venue the year before. At that point they were only barely 18 months into their performing career. @@Patrick_H. 😂 That’s always a possibility with Lovebites, but in my case “joint” favourite is the HMND performance of “A Frozen Serenade”. The other 48 are second favourites.

If you're ready to see them crank up the horsepower a notch check out When Destinies Align, Winds of Transylvania and Shadowmaker. You'll also get a better idea of the vocal power Asami has.

Hi Jeff, not sure if you remember me, I'm normally commenting on your Nightwish videos and suddenly I noticed you'd done another of my favourite bands, Lovebites. Was extremely happy to watch your 2 videos and your take on them. I would highly recommend 'Swansong' from the same gig I think but it has to include the Chopin piano introduction - I know the phrase 'blown away' gets used far too frequently these days but this piano introduction is definitely worthy of the phrase and I just know you'll love it! You probably won't be surprised who plays it 😆 ! I also heard you mention that you'd seen Babymetal who are my favourite band alongside Nightwish - they were the band I saw just before Covid here in London and you wouldn't believe how impressive they were - I'm not sure if you've reacted to any of their songs but I'd be extremely happy to recommend some if you wish?! Take good care of yourself as always 😃

Great reaction. You don't worry about how you call their names. I don't think Wolfpack cares while you assess them fairly. Yes, I agree that the sound volume of the bass is too low in the mixing and also back chorus, especially Miyako the dark haired guitarist's harmonizing back chorus, she is the second voice of the band. If you like to enjoy the bass, I'd recommend A Frozen Serenade kzread.info/dash/bejne/c5ls0rOPpZC4fps.html. It is slower piece but having beautiful bass line. I feel comfortable with it and song itself is a most beautiful progressive. I say it is beautiful all through the song and will make you surprise. After 50+ years of listening to metal, and with thrash/speed metal being my favorite metal sub genres, this is my favorite thrash song. I still pinch myself saying that in 2022 I stumbled on a fairly new song that is this freaking good. Class Dismissed by Exodus, Hostage to Heaven by Grip Inc, Chemical Warfare by Slayer - all some of my all time favorite thrash songs, yet this one stands on top. Only The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath (live Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020) is my all time favorite song by my all time favorite band.
