There are a lot of bands with great guitarists. There have been few with the luxury of TWO great guitarists. I go all the way back to Allman/Betts and Allman/Clapton, and I’ve never heard another song with two solos that were so great yet so different. This captures perfectly the contrasting styles and personalities of the two guitarists-Midori the extrovert and shredding demon, Miyako the introvert and goddess of blues (who can also shred when she feels like it). Really nothing like them, ever.

Ditto!! I saw Allman/Betts several times LIVE and while they were fantastic with talent there is NO comparison for shear command of the ax and then the harmonizing duos are at another level I have never seen going back to the '60. Compared to Hendrix, Lee, Kath and even Santana who were his contemporaries never thought Clapton was in their league especially LIVE ( I was able to see them all LIVE, what a gift when I look back now).

Totally agree with you about solos being a necessary part of metal and hard rock. Would Boston's music be iconic without the guitar solos? What would Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd be without Gilmore's guitar solo. What would the world of Heavy Metal be but not for Ritchie Blackmore's 2 minute guitar solos. He was one of Miyako's influencers. Check out the KZread channels for Lovebites and official MIYAKO. There is a rundown of their gear and other videos. All of Miyako's videos have CC. She has done a couple videos in English for International audience. These women know their kits. Real pros. Asami has such stage presence and control of the crowd. Lovebites may not be on a lot of music dishing services yet. Their album covers a freakin' awesome. I know you will love them.

LOVEBITES is amazing. They are all endorsed artists. Midori is endorsed by Kemper and ESP. Miyako is endorsed by Peavey and Dean. I am actually kinda worried that some big-name band is going to throw a giant pile of money at Midori and try to steal her away from Lovebites. Haruna too. Victor-E better do whatever it takes to keep the princesses together. We already lost Miho. Wolfpack will be devastated if anything else happens. We can deal with weddings and babies.... we cannot deal with this band splitting-up!

Is there any actual action ? Victor Entertainment is a pretty big machine too. I hate to see the music scene becomes like soccer business, selling and buying players between clubs like a meat market.

Agree 100% The magic of LOVEBITES is in the synergy of the member's style and personalities. The remaining members must understand this. I hope they are looking for the perfect bassist to take that magic to the next level.

Well if you're into guitar solos you're in the right place. With Lovebites its not a case of if there is a solo, but when and how long.

Here you get the true picture of the polar opposites that the M & M show are all about. Midori/Blond with her shredding fingers scrapping your face off and then dropping out and letting Miho's bass slide you into Miyako/Black "Gary Moore" wailing solo (when she pulls out that Les Paul look out it is wailing time). Then Miyako drops the organ salute to Deep Purple in from her foot-board before they go back into the face slamming Thrash finish. Worry not every song by LB has guitar solos even when Miyako is on the piano or keyboards she manages to get to the guitar even if it is just to harmonize with Midori. Just a quick note because you mentioned Miyako's Dimebag Dean. She has another Dean (cutaway) that you saw on Holy War, and it is a very rare Dean Custom (they don't really do that), built exactly the way Miyako wanted it. She has a red Dean Flying V that is also a Custom Model - they make a budget Korean model, and an expensive Japanese made. She has modded them both by cramming extra capacitors under the back plate. She did a video about it on her channel.

Miyako does a lot work on guitars to change the tone, mostly Dean, changing resistors ect. also using Fishman fluence pickups. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a6SNucObqJa1iNI.html this explains what she does. When she breaks out the Les Paul you're in for a treat!!!

Great reaction. Yeah, Break the Wall is fantastic. I think I only like it more the more I listen to it. And if there's one thing that is consistent with Lovebites, it's crazy guitar solos. You mentioned that you want to check them out in studio quality in your Set the World on Fire reaction and I would recommend The Crusade. Amazing Iron Maiden-esque song and a pretty cool music video to boot. Just make sure you check out the longer video, not the so-called KZread version.

Miyako uses an Orange cab with a Peavey head. Midori is using a Kemper but I’m not sure what cab.

Besides the solos, I love Miho's bass work and Midori's (💚💚💚) guitar work just before and during Miyako's solo.

Midori has so much stage presence. I love both guitarists but Midori is my favorite out of this dynamic duo. This entire band is a once in a lifetime band. Can't wait until they come back.

Judging from your comments you should enjoy a journey through Japanese metal rock bands as most are built around a solid guitar sound. If you follow the lovebites trail you'll notice that they have a lot of musical influences and aren't shy to bring them into their music. So you get different playing styles, Miyako will swap guitars depending on the particular characteristics of the sound she is after. Eg Gibson for a more bluesy feel great bends, other times it's a strate then flying v or Deen, as a guitarist I'm sure you'll pick up all this, also they're a band. They perform and write music to complement each other, they have left egos at the door, first and foremost it's about the music

Your next stop then, if you're getting Slayer vibes, is to react to the opening song on this set, Thunder Vengeance. Miho wrote that song after actually seeing Slayer at Download Festival. After that, you should react to Hammer of Wrath. If Break the Wall were to give you Master of Puppet vibes, Thunder Vengeance straight out of Slayer, and Hammer of Wrath will definitely remind you of Anthrax. If Holy War was to be a nod to Megadeth, then they've shown their influences from the Big 4 without covering them.

Hey if you are an instrumental band I give you 2 great instrumental bands with fantastic guitars to catch: D_Drive Unkind Rain (kzread.info/dash/bejne/n2l7ldCRete5qrQ.html) Yuki (female lead) is stunning but her band is amazing. Asterism Dawn LIVE (kzread.info/dash/bejne/lKmFstiCfq3JcZM.html) High School kids who have been a band since they were 11 and they write arrange and play all their own songs which are a fusion of Metal/Hard Rock/Jazz. Hal-Ca on guitar is only 16 but is a Hendrix clone (watch her finger work especially on the fret) and Miyu is 17 with that custom made 7 string bass (ESP made it only for him at 17!!). Here in a small club due to their ages they show off that exceptional musicianship.

You should react to band Asterism, instrumental trio (drummer ,bass and guitar). Hal-ca (female guitarist) will show you what she can do with her guitar. Their songs Dawn, Star, Gunfire, Church, Faced/Burned. For more clear sound and view, they do live in studio and for the song Dawn, there is a video with 360 degree angle view live in studio.

Yeah, I can tell since your first LOVEBITES reaction that they have grown on you. They have that effect. Next stop, Scream for Me. But do avoid the Bloodstock vids, the audio engineering sucks.

You should use another mic. The sound is very bad.
