He was actually going to play something else, but the showrunner guy requested him to play this one specifically. He originally was going to play something more fun and upbeat.

As a United States Marine Corps veteran, his music got so many of us through tough days and times. He will never be forgotten. He was truly a greatan and a Patriot. What he did for those who served this country will never be forgotten. God Bless Toby Keith. Heaven gained an Angel in a cowboy hat.

This song has so much more meaning, knowing he had stomach cancer. Yes, that definitely was his wife. Made me cry watching this when it was on. He does look weathered and worn like the lyrics

When you consider the gravity of Toby knowing the end was near and the lyrics of this song combined with this being one of his final appearances, it's so sad. Seeing his wife crying in the crowd and the amount of energy Toby put into this live performance. You have to admire the amount of courage and strength it took to face the world in his weakened condition. RIP Big Dog you'll be missed. Another singer from my childhood gone too soon.

Kinda like Johnny Cash’s “Hurt” that was his last song and it was so powerful that Nine Inch Nails said that was no long their song. This is Toby Kieth’s version of “Hurt” both songs were the last song they released RIP Toby

I couldn't tell if that was his wife or Martina McBride! I'm sure someone will know. I love the line "how old would you be if you didn't know the day you were born"! Toby has begun publicly performing again, which is great news!!! Love you Toby Keith!🙏

It is his wife; Trisha & she does look like Martina McBride. After talking to Clint, Toby wrote the song for his birthday & then Clint used the song in his 2018 movie 'The Mule'. This is a powerful one & kinda painful to watch, seeing him so thin. Toby has a beautiful song with a funny video called 'It's a little too late' & 'You shouldn't kiss me like this' is also a serious tune with a funny twist in the video.

This was Toby's last televised performance in September 2023 when he received the 'People Choice Country Icon Award'. You have the story right Cloty. When he gave the song to Clint, in 2018, Clint used it in his movie 'The Mule', where Clint played a guy transporting drugs for bad guys. This performance was hard to watch but I am so glad I did. It's the perfect goodbye song & yes, that was his wife Tricia, I read that he had a performance the night before he died. Not sure if that is true. I know he did 3 performances in Las Vegas in December, before passing in February. So sad. I am so grateful to have all his music for the years to come. For another serious song that seems perfect for right now, check out 'Cryin' for me, Wayman's song'. Toby wrote it several years ago for his friend Wayman Tisdale who passed from Cancer as well. The song & the video is beautiful & Toby's words for his friend, describe how I feel about Toby. Beautiful tribute. Then to get back to the laughs, check out his duet with Wille Nelson' Beer for my horses' which is like a mini-movie. Another cool song with a fun unexpected twist is 'Whiskey Girl'.

Great sounding song, by Toby, hope Toby, has a great outcome, with his health problems, hate to see anyone suffering with the problems this illness brings on you best wishes to you my fellow Oklahoman, hang in there. Hey guy's I would like to request a song by Daryle Singletary, and Ronda Vincent, called "AFTER THE FIRE IS GONE" a old Conway Twitty, and Loretta Lynn, song which they did a great cover of it. Thanks

So that thing's didn't turn out good for Toby, so sad that we lost him and was really sad to see how thin and weak he looked at this performance which I do believe was his last live performance, such a devastating disease it just ravages the body, he was such a big man in body and life to be taken like that prayer's and best wishes to the family R.I.P. Toby 🙏🙏🙏🥺🥺

girl, the description you gave of the video before even watching.. you didn't even need to really watch it lol. There were a few distractions for you both, also.. so you didn't really commit to reacting to the performance.. distraction removed you two. Ever watch The Lost Boys? Grandpa in the movie, explains WHY he's subscribed to The TV Guide, even though he doesn't have a tv. Grandpa said: When you read the TV guide.. you don't NEED to watch the shows lol. xo anyhoot. I love the performance from Toby Keith.. which is why I watched this one. :)
