@@chjhh8017 😂 perhaps we need to start a go fund me. We’ll buy a bowl of cough lozenges to be available at the court entrance, with an additional bowl behind a glass “break in case of emergency” panel, for that one prick whose airway collapses every time it gets to the good part of testimony. There will be a single box of tissues available just before the courtroom exit, sat next to the bailiffs- thus baiting anyone requiring a tissue into a corner, whereby they’re immediately tackled to the ground and and escorted from the courtroom for the reminder of the trial, in the interests of the common good. There will be mandatory face masks upon entry to the courthouse, to stop airborne and droplet spread of any and all contagious disease. The caveat is that every face mask has Dick Harpootleans face printed on it- but it’s been photoshopped to turn him into Joanna the Goanna from the _Rescuers Down Under_ movie. Temperatures of attendees will be checked upon entry to the courthouse. Best case scenario, it will be used to detect some germ-related increase in core-body temperature. Worst case scenario, in the event of a freak courtroom related death e.g tripping over Vinny Politans spray tan gun, it will be cross-matched with the ambient temperature of the courtroom, thus providing an accurate time of death. Finally, we’ll organise for a few drops of eucalyptus oil and a humidifier, sat at the Judges table. 1. Because we need to protect Judge Newman, and his respiratory health. at all costs. 2. If we successfully add enough eucalyptus oil, Alex Murdaugh may just finally have something to _actually_ cry over.

Maggie had seen a divorce lawyer. In my experience, you don't "just leave" a Narcissist like Alex. Many women have lost their lives in the process of leaving. Plus divorce was a monetary threat to a broke Alex. Paul had saddled Alex with the boating case ~ money the Narcissist doesn't have. Paul (little detective) was actively searching out Alex drugs. You don't get between a user and his stash of drugs. The man IMHO is guilty.

I live in the UK, my husband thinks I am mad at my intense interest in this case. I think it's because I'm working class, for centuries those who know the right people, have money and so called social status, have got away with crimes in my country. Mr Murdough, when losing his father, his consumate "fixer", he finally had to face accountability. I honestly believe, he is that entitled, the case would remain "cold", not realising his network had gone with his father. I've listened to his prison tapes, totally different persona than his "act" in court.

Maggie's Blood and DNA on the gun , his story kept changing when confronted with evidence , the phones and OnStar timeline , timeline timeline. It's sad seeing that video and knowing they would be dead just minutes later. He is so screwed. Even if he gets off free , he will never be a lawyer again , all his possessions will be sold to pay everyone back, he will have to borrow money from his son. I don't know how his son could ever forgive him for this. He might as well confess his life is over as he knows it anyway. Just sad.

I think there were other factors that the prosecution had no evidence of, but they had to present what they had. More than likely, Maggie was leaning toward divorce, which meant she'd get half of everything. But I don't think dhe knew how far in the financial whole they were. And also, the money they didn't have for a civil settlement with the boat crash, etc. He was also paying for prostitution from what I've watched, so it was a BIG DEEP mess! He's a narcissist. Evil doesn't care who it hurts! It just destroys. The Bible says, "Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy." This entire situation is proof of that!

He killed Maggie because Paul and Maggie found his stash of pills and Maggie was going to cut off his funding. Maggie would not let him sell the houses, would divorce him and take all the assets, and because there was money that was Maggie's that would come to him if she died.

How are you not convinced? The dude was confirmed to have been there just a few minutes before Paul and Maggies phones were last used and went to the house right around the corner less than a minute away on the property. Did you see the videos taken at the property yesterday? It was extremely quiet and peaceful. You couldn’t hear a thing besides birds chirping every once in a while. There’s almost no way he wouldn’t hear around 10 shots going off from the house. He then calls his wife and texts her and she doesn’t answer. He apparently didn’t put the two things together and check on them, but just went on his way to see his parents. Nobody knows where the clothes are that he was wearing in Pauls earlier snapchat video which are more likely to be what he was wearing. Of course he’s not going to have blood splatter on his clean new clothes. Then when he gets back from his parents he has 19 seconds to check both of their pulses, roll Paul over, check his phone, put it back down, and pull his own phone out to dial 911. The timeline and him consistently being a liar is what does it for me.

The firearm evidence alone proves he’s guilty. His weapons & his ammunition from his home were used. The casings from the rounds used in the murder & old casings from several locations all over the property match & they’re like fingerprints, totally unique. Plus the fact that he was at the crime scene 2 mins before it happened & he got caught lying. He lied many times about different things. His fake emotions & head bobbing & dramatic pauses during testimony, his and others. The fake emotion & hysteric’s when being initially interrogated on scene that night, “are they dead?” So fake. The firearms evidence alone should do it but it won’t. He’ll get a hung jury cause there’s always one dummy in the group

Did anyone discussed the motives that they were not for creating a smoke and mirror thing to distract from the other stories (mostly financials problems) ? But more simply the act of someone getting caught, whose whole world (professionnal, public and private) is going to collaspe shortly, and so he chose to eliminate the closest one to avoid getting exposed to them. (As it happends in countless similar scenarios)

I've been thinking the exact same thing...he couldn't bear the thought of facing Maggie and Paul after they found out. They were the ones putting pressure on him; they were already shaming him for the addiction that he'd worked so hard to conceal. They were holding a mirror infront of him, forcing him to see the monster he is. Buster, on the other hand, didn't threaten his carefully crafted persona...he just pretended not to see it, allowing alex to maintain the charade.

@@The_Tiffster Well I think the smoke & mirror motive was choosen by the prosecution at first (because guess what nobody can know for sure what's on this failed family of fame lawyer's sick mind so the prosecution had to choose one for themselves) but for the life of me I cant't understand why they did choose that motive as it doesn't make any sense (was also widely reported as such by different newspapers articles) and it was so much easier and truer to go with the "I'm caught so I will destroy my whole family, if I go down averybody as to go down as well etc." mantra. This is the same kind like males beeing rejected at some point wishing to kill their ex-loved ones. Happens a lot.

In view of the evidence, you are foolish to believe that. He is1000% guilty. He killed Paul because the trial for Mallory Beach was coming up. Paul would need hefty legal fees for defense. Paul would go to jail anyway for 25 yrs. His family name would be tarnished. He killed Maggie because Paul and Maggie found his stash of pills and Maggie was going to cut off his funding. Maggie would not let him sell the houses, would divorce him and take all the assets, and because there was money that was Maggie's that would come to him if she died.
