Murdaugh Murder Trial: Forensic analysis of Paul Murdaugh's injuries WARNING: GRAPHIC content

Forensic pathologist, Dr. Eisenstat, testified that the killer held a shotgun to the back of Paul’s head at point blank range and pulled the trigger. The force of the shot pushed the 22-year-old's brain out of his skull.

Honestly it’s a clear sign of his current withdrawal from years of opioid addiction. It’s a common trade mark of someone that has recently kick the habit. I’m not referring to his innocent or guilt. Just remarking on his physical state. And also the prosecutions exemptions that he couldn’t have lead a normal life without close family and friends not being able to notice his addiction is totally incorrect and false. Many many professionals deal with addiction while hiding it from jobs, family, friends. There is literally millions of Americans in this current situation.that is dealing with opioid addiction.

Psychopaths don't look at people, even their children, as living breathing things. To a psychopath, they are inanimate objects to use when needed, and dispose of when they become a hinderance to the psychopath's plan or well-being. It's like the tires on my car. They are useful to me until they become dangerous for me to continue to ride on. I have to get rid of them so I don't get hurt. I'm not emotionally attached to those tires, so they are easily disposed of. I "love" those tires because they are useful to me and they keep me safe and serve a purpose for me. I will even wash the tires, put some expensive products on them to make them shine. People might even say, "wow! I've never seen someone love tires so much as Lisa loves those tires." I can treat those tires with "love" and care, but when those tires start to get bald, and threaten my existence by riding on them, I have no emotion when I toss them out and get new ones. FYI- I don't really love my tires like that; that would be weird. haha!

So glad his Family's POWER didn't afford him a Free Pass, as is usual for these types of Families. Like the Free Pass Alec and his family were "printing up" for Paul's drunken boating accident. Now knowing Paul's brain got expulsed from his skull, I'm impressed how arrogant Alex was and he thought he had all rights over the law. Understand, that is their job as a defense attorney. Not to necessarily prove the innocence of their client, but to point out and mount any possible reasonable doubt which could imply their client is innocent. If there is (enough) reasonable doubt, a jury must acquit. Does it always work like that? No. Should it? Yes, it's the law. This is why defense attorneys are hated for defending those that are clearly guilty. Defense attorneys, when taking charges to trial, are basically just there the poke and open wide holes to induce reasonable doubt. I hope this dude rots in hell for what he did. I can't remember which involved party it was, but I believe it was his law firm that he had been fired from that were investigating his misdeeds, as soon as the murders happened they immediately ended their investigation of Alex. Maggie was about to divorce him and was going to make even more of a mess for him financially, and Paul was the entire reason that people started investigating Alex's finances due to the family of the girl killed by Paul's drunk driving, they were on the hunt for a fat pay day = even more digging into Alex's greasy financial improprieties.

I’m watching the new Netflix doc just released and honestly it makes everything make so much more sense! Episode 1- The fact that it’s the actual victims of the boat crash being interviewed not just talking heads - makes it very real. The fact that both Alex and Maggie liberally gave Paul and his group of friends liquor, bought it for them, when they were as young as 14 is absolutely mind blowing. It’s bad enough they were giving such young teens who were not their children alcohol without any reservations- it’s just so hard to understand but especially given Alex knew he had been battling a drug addiction for 20 years and yet he basically sets his son up to become a raging alcoholic? Already at 18 Paul was a monster when drinking, vicious and abusive to his girlfriend and had gotten to the point with that abuse that he did it in front of all his friends? One can only imagine how brutal his alcoholism and abusive behavior would have become in a short amount of time. The fact that Paul had already had a bad crash in his truck with Morgan while too drunk to drive- and he AND Alex and Maggie got mad at her because she had called 911, that when Alex and Maggie showed up to the accident scene before anyone else and instead of checking on their son and Morgan they started hiding all the guns he had in the truck? I mean they are sounding more and more as bad as the parents of Ethan Couch - Affluenza teen!! It’s just unbelievably shocking to me these parents acted this way- and I’m no prude… I love a few drinks and I’ve let my 18 year old daughter have 2 Whiteclaws during the Superbowl - but what they did is heinous and honestly- not to speak too ill of the dead- Paul absolutely inevitably would have killed somebody one day drinking and driving and did - * EDIT because of all the folks misreading my comment- I said he DID kill someone…..I am saying based on his irresponsibly drinking and driving, having already crashed his truck while driving drunk with no repercussions he was going to inevitably kill somebody one day and DID….I KNOW he killed Mallory!* or loosing his temper- he was an out of control spoiled brat…. I do feel some sympathy for him given the fact that his mother didn’t pay attention to him!

Addicts live long and productive lives without wiping out their families. His addiction clearly played a role in his theft of his client's money. And obviously, the enormous amount of debt he was in, could be viewed as a motive for murder. His addiction was only part of a big fat hole full of lies that he did everything to prevent coming out. But this is not the story of an addict who killed in order to score. This is the story of a weak man, who lied to everyone in his life. Often and egrigiously. And when the enormity of those lies got too heavy to bare, he wiped out his family. Whether it was to distract from other crimes, or it was for the insurance money? Or, it was cause he was fed up with his entitled child, and once the kid was dead, he had to kill the wife too. Or some combination of those things, but if the prosecution botches this, it will be because of their own shortcomings.

The whole concept OF reasonable doubt is leaving unanswered questions and not being able to fully wrap your mind around the crime. He got up in the stand and essentially did the prosecutions work for them. He put himself at the scene admitted he was lying, had zero logical explanation except to say that he was frightened, which is an absurd answer to ANYONE listening and essentially he made it so that nobody else EXCEPT HIM could have done it. Today when Judge read charges, John Marvin was shaking his head when the Judge said 'find him innocent' if Prosecution have not proved their case. I think the Prosecution did a WONDERFUL JOB! Especially Creighton Waters! He is my kind of lawyer, he laid all the evidence down. AM thought he could outstmart everyone b/c he was an attorney. Hi Bizz, from what I understood in the testimony, shotgun pallets expand. As soon as Paul was shot on the top of his head, the pallets expanded, and blew his head off from the top, that is how his brain left the skull - gruesome!

I said the same thing!! The facts are the facts, period! His brain left his head due to a gunshot wound, it doesn't have to be mascerated to leave the head!! This Dr. Did a great job! Very clear and concise testimony!! Being shot in the head would cause brain matter, skull, and tissue matter to go in the exiting trajectory and that's exactly what he said!! She wasted her breath and the court's time!! Smdh Absolutely heartbreaking that this father could take his sons life and his wife's life! I believe they were truly horrible people, they killed their housekeeper and he robbed her family of the life insurance money they were entitled to, they always seemed to be above the law and untouchable!! They were not good parents by any means, buying alcohol and supplying the kids and friends with it! Just crazy shit going on!! At least he'll never walk free again!!

This is all just strange as heck. If someone did this to my wife and son I wouldn't give a shiz about what anyone accused me of I would be going nuts trying to find the people that did this. Nothing else would matter to me. This guy is as guilty as heck. his son reminded me of a demon I don't know anything about this case other than what I know about his son that killed the girl in the boat. He must have been a mommy boy and the dad wanted them gone for some reason. Mark my words this guy is as guilty as sin.

The father wanted him gone bc his finances were about to be audited from his son killing the girl in the boat accident and then his stealing from the firm and family friends were about to be exposed. But all he done was allow the whole world to know about his thievery plus his murderous deeds.

After listening to one witness today, he said it is most likely the shooter was injured??/ I remember someone saying that AM had a bruise on his face. They should check this out, My theory is AM called Paul's name and he turned and got the first shot, I think he walked toward AM and tried to grab the muzzle of the rifle and was probably bent over - or AM slipped and then he fires the fatal shot which is consistent with Dr. Reamer's explaination of the fatal shot going in jaw and out the top of his head. I think he especially hated Maggie, thus giving her five shots, WHAT DID HE DO WITH THE GUNS? HE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO go back to his Mom's house at a later date and destroy them forever, or perhaps he had Buster retrieve them, since he said he was 'with people' 24/7 after the murders. I hope the jurors are smart and don't fall for what the Defense is putting on. They are a bunch of clowns!

Yea so true! Also the Hispanic housekeeper also went to the house right after and cleaned up because AM asked her to come over. WTF. Thats a crime scene. She noticed water outside and inside the shower. Why law enforcement wasn't there protecting the scene is odd. He had time to go and I think he did go back to his mom's house to destroy evidence. Shows you that he has always been able to hide things; he was too good at it. I think someone got rid of the guns for him; why on earth they would do that shocks me. I mean at what point are you going to stop covering for this POS addict. He's a joke and an embarassment to men, lawyers and law enforcement. Hold his ass accountable. I hope the jurors also see through this POS. I've watched all the documentaries and I'm in complete shock on much this family hurt others. He's trying to be likable when he got on the stand. I can't believe how many families including his own that have been impacted by AM.

He was angry at Paul for basically pulling the string that unwound the entire sweater. The added indignation of his wife and Paul working together to show him up over his drug use would have triggered him. The fact they said Maggie was looking into divorce....he prob would have said to himself , "after all I've done for them...giving them a lavish lifestyle'". In his mind, he would have thought he stole for them also. The way Tony soprano provided for his family. So he would have been pissed at all that. He lashed out.
