That hearing coming up on "motion to compel" (ALL his financials).. he couldn't hide accounts as Tinsley had subpoenas for EVERY bank in the low Country of South Carolina.. if there was no account in his name they would simply answer the subpoena w/ "no account".. The Forge account at Bank of America WAS coming out.. There is evidence Maggie was going to or looking into Divorce.. Think he planned to do it as he INVITED Maggie to Moselle.. I totally get this guy when he explains how he ate and relaxed. I’ve worked as an engineer in remote locations in Alaska where you travelled back and forth from camp to the job site. Twelve hour days, plus all the prep and report writing and communicating with family and work obligations. I once worked 49 days in a row doing that. You end up caring more about having dry socks for tomorrow instead of sitting down and eating .. as long as you get a good breakfast the next morning and having snacks available whenever you want. Tough work, but holy cow; when you’re done it is the most satisfying feeling one could ever experience. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!! I know. I watched an interview, with him, explaining that. I think AM thought he was going to walk into that courtroom where he once held some power, wield his “sword” along with his defense team and somehow “slay” the prosecutors. AM was furious, glaring at Mr. Water’s every chance he could get with his beady eyes. Mr. Water’s strategy in getting the jurors familiar with AM voice was brilliant, as you said. Mr. Water’s had AM in the palm of his hand and I’m not so sure AM was keen enough, by then, to even know it. One thing stood out to me at sentencing…AM basically stood face-to-face with Judge Newman…when JN gave him the opportunity to come clean, unburden his conscience (that he apparently doesn’t have, so let’s just say guilt) and, yet again, AM said he would never HURT his son or his wife…by putting it that way, it’s NOT a lie. His sense of entitlement makes it HIS TRUTH and there’s nothing to admit to. He can’t bring himself to say that he would never KILL them because he knows that IS a lie and a lot to admit. I still don’t believe he’s sorry one bit but sorry for himself. But JN said Maggie and Paul must visit him when going to sleep, AM said “all day every day” ~ I hope they HAUNT his dreams for the rest of his natural life, in his concrete cell. JN ruled his courtroom and brought to life the meaning of “iron hand in a velvet glove”~ gentle yet forceful and determined. In some sort of way, this case kind of came full circle knowing JN just buried his own son not long before this trial started. I think he found this whole situation heartbreaking. Possibly thinking he’d give anything, if for just one more day, to have my own son back and this monster killed his son in cold blood. Not to recognize Maggie but in relation to their son’s. Much respect to JN, entire prosecution team and the jurors for rendering the appropriate decision.
