MST3K-Broadcast Editions: 203-Jungle Goddess 10/06/1990
The world premiere!
Coming to you live from the now-defunct The Comedy Channel! Tommy Sledge! The Higgins Boys and Gruber! Rich Hall's Onion World! Billy West voiceovers!
Aired October 6, 1990 at 7pm.
Check back here roughly every week-ish (ha!) for more broadcast versions of MST3K episodes.
FYI, I'm always on the look-out for taped episodes with their commercials intact. Preferably March 1991 and earlier or July 93-October 93. I'll even pay for the things. Interested? Drop me a line! My email address is in my profile.

Broadcast editions of “televised events” should have a special place on KZread for archival purposes. Uploads like this provide a great service to the preservation of modern society.

I suggested to Alternaverse that the Gizmoplex be a place to archive stuff like this. The moderator agrees.
the Playboy gift commercials crack me up.
Zeitgeist was a Local avant-garde music group in Minneapolis - that was especially popular in Europe - but they performed at the Walker Art Center. Just saying - I saw them several times during the same time that MST3K was launched. So I'm sure Joel would have known of Zeitgeist the music group - they still play I think also.
mst3k was surprisingly progressive for its time.
what a time capsule. from the commercials the comedy channel's lineup was a mix of old and new, and geared toward entertaining. then in the 00s it had its own original stuff that was its golden age now? its just reruns of the office, parks and recreation, and south park.
52:02 The cat and mouse watch commercial. At the end of their run, Comedy Central played that commercial a LOT. Also, I think this is the only time we see Jim Mallon on screen.

You mean 54:02. At the end of what run? Comedy Central still exists.

Cootie Game Milton Bradley 1986 1980s 80s 80sThen80sNow from Minneapolis!? Had no idea. What's Inside - The Game of Cootie (W. H. Schaper, 1949)
Annotations and Joel - I'll watch this one instead.
It's only three episodes into season two and Frank has already been a thousand times funnier than Larry was in all of season one.
the whole six jokes per minute contract gives it a canned feeling. No wonder Josh left. haha
Thirty-one years ago???? Now you are just doing this to be mean. ;-)
I’ll go call Roy Cohn. Roy Cohn (1927-1986) - DRUMPH's MENTOR!!
