Moving an antique truck

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Rescuing a old REO truck that has been sitting for 35 years. Jacking it up, installing wheels on it, using 3 excavators to drag it to the street and load it on a trailer. There should be a follow up video of it once its running looking better.

hi.. Im 80 years old.in my mid 20s i met an extraordinary man by the name Rio Hovey. he had worked at Diamond Reo in Lansing mich for38 years. he named his daughter Reolia. A fine man, became a good friend, we shared a love for gelogy and gems. his crystal cluster collection would rival any in museums. he had searched and dug and collected all of them himself.. he was also an avid and miraculous gardner. seeing that old truck brought all the memories of Rio Hovey flooding back.. A wonderful gift. thank you..

An REO tanker is a one of a kind national treasure. These things are only seen up close in museums today or in rare historical photos. Hammering loose the back left axles wouild have made the tow job easier. When that guy has the truck restored and even manages to get it running and driving, he will be the envy of all truck drivers everywhere. REO trucks are extremely rare.

One summer in the 70’s I stayed with my uncle in Canada. My objective was to improve my English and maybe help him at his quarry. My 2nd day he put me in a Diamond Reo 3 axle dump truck with. 6 cylinder gas motor. I was to spread gravel and that meant chaining the gate. The truck would wheelie every time ! Small cab I remember. I think the transmission was 5 main (2 levers) and 3 auxiliary. Thank you Andrew for sharing.

That tanker was probably used for dust control in what appears to be a big sand/gravel pit from that drone footage near the end of the video. May have been near the end of it's useful life when put to work there. When I was a young boy, I used to love seeing an REO on the road, they were old timers even back in the late 60's -70's and rare to see . . . . lol. That was a lot of work to get'r outa there. Good job guys! I hope to see it in it's next life sometime.

That truck is definitely worth cleaning, painting and hopefully making it run with the original engine. I'd probably go to aluminum wheels and radial tires for comfort. I wouldn't go overboard but definitely some sandblasting and suspension and brake upgrades for safety. A cool piece of history and I believe they made the first pickup truck.

Howbeit when *HE* the spirit of truth, is come, *HE* will guide you into all truth: for *HE* shall not speak of himself but whatsoever *HE* shall hear, that shall *HE* speak and *HE* will show you things to come. He shall glorify me Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Spirit. They fail to realize that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (p.b.u.h) departs then the Comforter will come. The Bible states that the Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus (p.b.u.h), in the womb of Elizabeth, and again when Jesus (p.b.u.h) was being baptized, etc. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h).The Spirit of Truth, spoken about in this prophecy also refers to none other than Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) *NOTE* the word Jesus Christ and the word Christianity derived from word Christ both are man made words not divine.According to the original manuscript of bible which is in Hebrew or Aramaic jesus real name is MESSIAH or ESAU/ESAW *Bible* as a whole (OT+NT) is a holy book of [jews/israel] it has nothing to do with Christianity *Christianity* is a man made religion not divine jesus christ is a man made name given to the *Messiah* of bible *Messiah* of bible never claimed any religion by name of Christianity TRINITY also a man made word not divine jesus/messiah was a jew by cast a jew prophet who has been sent by GOD for guidance of jewish tribes only *JOHN 1:11* He came unto his own(jews) and his own(jews) received him not. *MATTHEW 15:24* i am not being sent but only unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel *MATTHEW 5:17* Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the LAW OF MOSES or the writings of the prophets(of Jews). No, I came to accomplish their purpose Hence proved 4rm all above references that MESSIAH was a jew prophet came for guidance of jews only thats why HE Prophesied LAST *PROPHET MOHAMED* as an upcoming final comforter and upcoming prince of this world for all the nations and tribes of this world *Hence Accept ISLAM Now* Aask ME any QUESTION any time here or on *islamforever121@**gmail.com*

The REO Motor Car Company was a Lansing, Michigan-based company that produced automobiles and trucks from 1905 to 1975. At one point the company also manufactured buses on its truck platforms. Ransom E. Olds was an entrepreneur who founded multiple companies in the automobile industry. In 1897 Olds founded Oldsmobile. In 1905 Olds left Oldsmobile and established a new company, REO Motor Car Company, in Lansing, Michigan. Olds had 52 percent of the stock and the titles of president and general manager. To ensure a reliable supply of parts, he organized a number of subsidiary firms like the National Coil Company, the Michigan Screw Company, and the Atlas Drop Forge Company.
