Some of these didn't require a group of people recreating them to prove they couldn't happen, it was already obvious. I mean, I don't need to subject a spider to radioactivity, then let it bite me, to see if it gives me superpowers. I'm already pretty sure that isn't possible, without going through all that.

That’s all fine and dandy, but did they ever try to suspend disbelief? That’s what I want to know…

Something the Mythbusters never considered when testing Star Wars myths: The action took place long long ago in a galaxy far far away, which means that even though the characters appear to be human beings, they are not - and therefore could very well have different capabilities than humans.

But aren't lasers ultimately beams of light? So, wouldn't the laser 'bolts' be traveling at the speed of light, by definition? 🤷‍♂️

not if the check the movie, you can see the speed of the beams

on the punching through the pine box--- that was a "bust" right there... a wood box cannot support X lbs. of dirt dropped on top of it.... it will collapse. period. instant death..second, even if it didn't collapse, there is not enough space to gain momentum, and punch through the box... aside from those, if she punched through, the wood did not collapse, the dirt would have fallen ontop her, or if the dirt had dried, she had to have punched through the (dried, caked) dirt, 6 feet, in total darkness.

They guys should have tried an H-cylinder. I’ve seen one of those destroy a hospital wall.

As a long time construction painter, 1986- now I can say that it would probably not be most pleasant experience to be painted like in goldfinger. But I'd be more worried about what my lungs and other "body openings" would suck in. We all sweat all the skin breaths all time so...

Loved mythbusters but they were wrong about the door in Titanic. The door was above the water with one person and dropped just below it with both people supported. This small amount of water would be fatal. So Jack could not have gotten on without killing them both.

The Goldfinger paint job did not count. He didn't have his eyes, his mustache or the area beneath his shorts painted with a sufficiently pore sealing paint.
