late reply, but it was calibrated before the test. at 4:58 you can see he had the glove weighed to tare the scale, so it would only measure the force of his bare fist

I used this machine. I had 980lb at 3in. And 8k from downtown. No gloves.

This is stupid, they don't even use a wooden coffin, or a person to punch through it.
