This has to be a looooooong way off if it's still in the "grids for maps and every enemy has the same sprite" stage and people who don't understand how game development works are going to have unrealistic expectations

Its extremely early in development. The creator likely wasn't expecting the footage of the game they recently shared to blow up so quickly so they are taking advantage of the publicity its getting by quickly throwing together a teaser trailer and steam page.

Happy to see early concept stage footage. This is pretty much all you need to convey an idea instead of getting most of it done and find out much later in development what received well and what didn't.

A Dark Universe of Disney with Mickey Mouse goes batshit, turns into 1930s Mafia, and kills every cartoon character? I'm loving this game already.

First, we got *Bendy and the Ink Machine,* then we got *Cuphead,* now we go this. We need more videogames with 1930's rubberhose cartoon themes.

@@phj9894 Yea, that's one issue with DoomVR... Thankfully someone made a vixel weapon mod as well so those work together quite nicely. For this? I'd say you could get away with some cell-shaded, jiggly-boned weapons.

The UI, the guns and power-ups are definitely inspired by Bioshock in this one and I'm all for it!
