​@@ironhell813 In case you didn't know, the first iteration of Mickey Mouse (Seen in the short "Steamboat Willie") has been recently given to public domain! Which means that yes, they could use the original Mickey's appearance in the game.

I think if you kill an enemy with something that shoots rapidly, like the tommy gun, the death animation should show them with swiss cheese esque holes, like the cartoons, either way, looks fucking amazing, the death animations seems just slightly repetitive. Definitely going on my wishlist!

I've seen some gameplay videos of animation year ago, and now this game returns to me! Definitely add this piece of art in my wishlist!

Nothing to do with the game lol, they're just mice. This has been in the works way before Mickey came in to the public domain.

I love rubber hose animation so much. The mixture of 3D and 2D immerses me and makes me feel like I'm in the 2D world. I love how the main character's weapons and how the special effects are animated, elevating the immersion. The way some 3D elements look as if they were 2D is also something that I enjoy. I think Mouse will be a good game. TL;DR game look good

You dont have to draw all of it every scene. The 2d characters are all actually 3d gamewise, only their appearance is 2d.

They've become especially more valuable in the modern age where most games are clunky, low frame rate, cutscene/dialogue-driven nonsense that don't feel good to play or have the pacing constantly killed by what little control the player already had grinding to a halt.

this looks like the best adaptation of the concept so far imo 👍🏽

It's a fun idea, but I wish the full environment was shaded in a way to make it look 2D as well. Perhaps that would be tough on the eyes though

If Return of the Obra Dinn managed to do what it did, I imagine it's probably feasible. Not that it would be easy to implement though.

Mickey hitting the public domain is going to be a boon for creators (just like classical music and stories was a boon for Walt Disney, it's a shame they wanted to burn that bridge behind them).

This is beautiful. I've looked at for 5 hours now.

Looks nice, and looks like it plays well. This one even has sound effects, i love the sounds on this.

Almost entirely copied from blood. The dynamite throw and the tommy gun alt fire.

This game looks great I saw the first teaser and it lacked backgrounds. But this, this looks amazing and detailed. I'm excited for this one. And I'm glad they are taking their time and not rushing a release.

The ammo types laughing at the right tempo on each shot is honestly so creative.

Gives me Conker Live & Reloaded vibes, and I friggin love it!

Words cannot describe how much I want to play this.

Disney is one big reason why those rights have lasted so long anyway because they really really wanted to protect their orginal maskot. But now their oldest version is finally going to be free for everyone no matter how much disney may dislike that. But can still be a sure that they will keep watch of every community created frame does it have elements of their newer style of Mickey. And most likely they will still abuse that right because they have quite long track record already harasing fan made stuff.

Please! Map interactions looks so good! Make sure there are plenty of em. When ppl get bored of anumations and blablabla. Map interactions will always give a touch of creativity that never gets old and make players want to replay the levels

100% agree. there needs to be more ragtag elements, like that clip where you shoot a rope and make a piano fall on someones head, or kicking a barrel to make enemies trip. if you aren’t going into lean into the type of gags old timey cartoons are known for, what’s the point of even having it look like this apart from eyecandy? i want to say i want there to be more variety as well, why does every single character look like mickey & goofy? get more creative. i get this is ‘early’ gameplay, and things will change, so maybe i’ll eat my words when the full game is out, as of right now though, the game leave me desiring way more
