Seeing you, Mr. Bucky and Peppy , knowing you enjoyed your life together here before your journey home, I got choked up watching... Are Wheeler and Steely still alive? You and Mr. Bucky were our online family and we appreciate Steven helping us with Isabella as his assistant, by uploading wonderful new content and sharing family updates, as we know he is grieving as well.

This is lovely seeing reruns. I missed so much when I was caring for my husband. I do wonder why they chose such a cold spot to retire to and wonder if the house ever got built. At least they had a lot of fun planning. That is often the best part of any project.

Mrs Phyllis, Ive watched you and Mr Bucky for a long time and my heart is broken for you as you start this cancer thing without him being there physically to walk that journey with you. To honor Mr Bucky Ive enjoyed watching some older videos of y’all’s life together. You were such a beautiful couple and your and his laughter showed how very happy both of you were. Your purchasing of this RV and ten you bought the Allegro motor home and your stories you 2 told had me chuckling. Im in continued prayer for you and I pray that when our Heavenly Father calls us home that one day I will see both of you.

She's right about the blender...I too have a vitamix and they are wonderful.....best blender I ever had..... you can make peanut butter in it, which I have, smoothies are super fine....you can also make hot soup....just put your vegetables and seasonings in it and it blends it and comes out hot...........a great blender....also makes ice cream.....etc.....How long did they get to live there ? I don't think they had even started their house did they? This would have been the best place for them....they were so looking forward to retiring here.....so so sad they didn't get too.... loved their videos....

Dearest Phyllis, I love looking back to these times when you had Mr. Bucky with you. This was such a pleasure to watch!!! What a handsome man, and all that hair he still had. It's fun to see all you two hard-workers have done to the place. How sweet to hear how your little ones are adventuring and inspecting the new place and adjusting to it. They really are like little three yr olds, aren't they? Yes, I love that driveway rounded, curvy, quaint driveway too. I feel sad each day since Mr Bucky moved to his Father's House, and I pray each time for God to comfort your aching heart. It makes my heart ache that he is not there for you, but as a famous puritan once said, "The road is short and the miles so few to heaven." That often comforts me through this life. I know that you don't know each one of us, but each one of us knows you, and we love you, Phyllis. God's word says that we will be known in heaven as we are known here. And we will be fully human but with perfect everlasting bodies. Because we love you both, we can't wait to meet you there and introduce ourselves to you. Looking so forward to that!!!

I'm sure it's heavenly and more beautiful where you both are now. Once again pain free and healthy, youthfulness you both can enjoy together. Life on earth was an experience for you both and those that you touched. A test of time on earth, now it is time to return back to the heavenly life you left behind. Both of your accomplishments & missions here were complete. Bucky was waiting to be reunited with you again in god's time.

I'm so glad to see you looking well and so happy! I love your new mountain home. It's just beautiful there. My house is about 1/2 solar. It has extra insulation, and windows the full length and height of the south side. The roof overhang shades them in the summer, but in the winter when the sun is out, I almost don't need heat, at all. My south side windows are the size of patio doors, so were very inexpensive. We heat this huge house with 1 1/2 cords of wood a year, and I haven't turned on the forced air but about 2 times in 16 years. (In case I forget later on) one of the best things is a whole house fan. It's very cost effective, and I don't think you will ever regret it. .

Yes, we do have an Ingles. How far is your mountain home from Asheville? Try THE FRESH MARKET. You will find the best organic veggies and fruits there.. There are plenty apple orchards there. Some of the best ones are around Hendersonville, NC. I love the mtns. It is heaven on earth. You will also find fields of cabbage, tomatoes , squash and almost any other vegetable and if you drive up to a house they will hand you a knife and bag and you go out into the fields and pick or cut whatever you want and take it back to the owner and pay for the produce there. Now, that is what you call fresh vegetables.

Their plans were to start the build after their large house in town sold. Due to the soft market at that time, it had not sold when Mr Bucky rather suddenly died. UPDATE: That house sold quickly after their estate affairs were settled.

Phyllis, if you leave your black tank open on the rv you will build up a pyramid of poo in the bottom and it will dry up because the flush water is just not enough to get it on down. When we bought our rv they said never leave it open because of this. When ours fills up we bring in a hose with a wand on it after the black water is dumped and really give it a good cleaning. Hope this helps so many people have made that mistake and wind up just buying a new tank. Enjoy your new mountain place!

Hi TheEqualizer64, thanks for the advice, it is much appreciated. Our tanks are connected to a septic tank with regular sewage connections. Also the gray tank is connected directly with the black water tank. Mr. Hughes had our neighbor the plumber do this three years ago. Before we left the property Mr. Bucky and I brought the garden hose inside the trailer and flushed out the black water tank till it was running clear and we left it open to the septic tank. Did we make a mistake? We also added one of those little enzyme packets as per Mr. Hughes instructions. I sure hope we haven't messed up our holding tanks by leaving them open. Please let me know. Thanks

No you did not hurt your tank. It takes a while for it to build up, but I'm not really sure about hooking straight into the septic. The best thing you could do is talk to someone that knows more about hooking straight into the septic. Sorry I could not help you more. Best to you both, Gail

I wanted to suggest a tankless water heater. It runs off gas. You could possibly have one installed and then transfer it to your new home once it's ready. My husband installs them as part of his job.

If you are in Mountain Rest, S.C. you are near my birthplace, Salem, S.C. and also where I went to school, the D.A.R. school in Tamassee, S.C. Incidentally, when I was back I discovered Ingles. It is indeed a remarkably fine store! I visited them when I went to see my sister who lived in Cashiers, N.C. I'm sure you know where Cashiers is. I love the idea of the Camper. I really envy you. Also, I was glad to discover you again.
