It’s very nice to see you getting every bit of satisfaction riding your bike. This is the true essence of bike riding, being able to go to places with freedom, feeling the wind on your place, and making memories. Ride Safe always. BTW that guy who helped you push the bike is a real gentleman.

Thank you, all I want to do is adventure on the bike! I was very thankful for the gentleman who helped, I'm not sure what I would have done. 😂
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance is a seminal piece of work in addition to being a really enjoyable read. For the record, it is largely autobiographical rather than fiction as Pirsig really did take a motorcycle trip with his son and friends across the West, and he really did most of the other stuff in the book as well. I'll leave that vague so as not to spoil it for you if you haven't made it all the way through yet. A handy little tip for getting out of awkward spaces is to lean the bike over onto its stand until the wheels are slightly off the ground and then using it as a pivot to turn the bike in place. It sounds risky but isn't, just lean the bike into your hip and guide it around until it points in your chosen direction. I've enjoyed your videos and camera work. Keep up the good work! Texas and especially the Hill Country is a beautiful area in which to ride.

I have seen people spin their bike around. I would definitely need to practice this! Yes, my mistake on the word fiction. I do know it was based on a true story. Only a few chapters in, but loving it so far. Thanks for watching!

Hipsters are hilarious at how over the top they are at trying to look “cool”! 😂
We all, soon after learning to ride, experienced why we should almost-always *back* into a parking space. It looks like you've got lots to see and do where you live. 'Nice videography.

Thanks! Yes, I'm getting better about this. 😅 Sometimes backing in is hard for me, but the upside to get out is a lot easier.

My parents live a 10 minute walk from Jacobs well. Visited at the end of April and beginning May and the only water was in the hole itself. I can remember it being a full creek and a great place to swim. Keep exploring the area. It’s a great place to ride.

Hey! I just discovered your channel today! I am 71 years old and came back to riding motorcycles after a 40 year absence. I bought a Triumph Bonneville T-120 Black in March of 2017 (at age 65). It is similar to your Street Twin but with a larger engine. I get the impression that you are relatively new to motorcycle riding. You might want to investigate the various tires available for your bike. I had to get a new set of tires on my T-120 and the Avon tires noticeably improved the handling of my bike significantly. If I had know how much better the ride and handling was on the Avons compared to the stock tires, I would have immediately changed tires. Do not limit your search to Avons, Michelin tires like the Road 6s are a solid choice, perhaps better (I knew less back when I bought the Avons). Better tires might be the best modification you can make for your bike. Gravel roads defeat me. Rain . . . I try to avoid.

The T-120 is a nice bike! I love the whole Bonneville line. It's never to late to start riding again. That's the cool part about riding is that you can do it for a long time! I'm looking at new tires as well. Thanks for watching :)

*With a grab bar on the back and the bike in neutral, you can use one hand grip and the bar to move the bike back and forth.* Kickstand down so if it feels like it's getting away from you pull it towards the kickstand. Good show.

I love your Vids. I ride in the DFW area. I rode to Austin last year for the Republic of Texas Rally and stopped at the salt lick after on the way over to Houston. Was delicious. But your vids give me some road trip goals, especially the glamping stops and such. Keep up the great vids!

Pro tip, Always park on a slope with the bike facing uphill. Your side stand will be less likely to fail and the bike fall over; and you can simply start the bike and ride up/out of awkward terrain. Great trip, looks amazing.

I've learned to almost always park facing outward so I don't have to attempt to back out in dirt or gravel. Not always possible but always the desirable way to park a bike.

Hi! Thanks for watching :)
A bit of roadcraft for parking, if you have to park on an incline always park with the bike facing up hill, so it work against the kickstand if it rolls back, and leave it in gear (as a sort of handbrake) if the needs be, plus if it's flat i tend to park in 'reverse' i found it easyr to push it back on a hot engine than on a cold one (it sound stupid, but i picked it up on old BMW and it sticked with me! don't know if there is merit in this, but i found it better!)

You will learn to start backing you bike into spots. You can drive out of it that way. Cool vid. Subbed. As far as the book goes.... it sucks. That is the most overrated thing written. People get caught up in the trend and think to be part of the "family" you need to have read it. Sit it down now before you realize you wasted precious time with it. The author was on acid (true fact) when he wrote the majority of it. Read the reviews on it.....most people hate the book.
