I’m Back! | BMW R nineT Scrambler & Gas Gas TXT Riding Adventure
After a year away, I'm back with an exciting weekend of riding! My thoughts on the R9t and how I liked it more than my Triumph in some ways. This was my first time on a boxer engine! At first, I didn't like the cylinders sticking out so much, but it really grew on me!
I'm still looking for a new bike and plan to test-ride a few before deciding. Including more Triumphs!
THANK YOU:
A big thanks to REVIVAL CYCLES, for making this video possible. If you want to rent this BMW R nineT, you can do so through their partner Twisted Road, and check out their website for custom builds, restoration, storage, and apparel. They also put on the Handbuilt Show every year in Austin, TX, and recently in LA for the first time. It's a must-see event!

You're back! Welcome, welcome! Whatever brand you choose for your new motorcycle, have fun with it as much as you did with the ST900. And yes, please, keep on the short travel and customization videos! Glad to have you back here.
You're baaaack yay! Love to see it, we seriously need more good new rider centric creators like you. Keep it going, keep it REAL and excited to see what you pick as your next ride!
Yay! You are back!! Looking forward to your next videos! I just started riding this spring and love it! Greetings from Round Rock!
Great to see you back on a bike with a smile on your face 👍
Lovely to have u back Des
Good to be back. Miss the triumph.
So great to see you back posting videos ❤!!! The R nineT is such a beautiful bike.
Good to see that you are back! I will be watching for more content. Back in 2017 I got back into riding after not riding for forty years. My two finalists in which motorcycle to buy came down to the BMW RnineT and the Triumph T-120. BMW R nine T Pure Capacity 1,170 cc Rated output 109 hp at 7,250 rpm Max. torque 85.5 lbs. at 6,000 rpm Seat height 31.7” Usable tank volume 4.5 gal. Unladen weight, road ready, fully fueled 483 lbs. Triumph T-120 Capacity 1200 cc Max Power 79 HP @ 6550 RPM Max Torque 77.4 LB-FT @ 3500 rpm Seat Height 31.1 in (790 mm) Tank Capacity 3.8 US gal (14.5 litres) Wet Weight 520 lb (236 kg) The RnineT had a bit more acceleration, but for me the looks and sound of the Triumph BonnevilleT-120 won.
Welcome back!
Welcome back! Love the bike, but there is just something about the Triumph street twins/t100/120. The sound, the look and everything.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 finally you are here again ✌🏻
Ok 👏🎉👍
Hell yeah. Been waiting. Good to see you back.

Glad to see you back on two wheels again.
Yeah, I checked in a while ago thinking I'd missed notifications!! Sorry about your Bonnie. Give it to @TheWurks😊. But you're well, so brilliant!
Glad you are back…!!! Fyi, take a look at the BMW R12.
Welcome back!!!
Finally! Been waiting for you for MONTHS!
Glad to see you back😎 Back in December I traded a couple of bikes (including my Speed Twin) for an RnineT Scrambler. I love it so far. Good video!
Great video, glad for the new content 👍
Welcome back to your channel lol! Hope you get a new motorcycle to fuel your passion soon. Cheers from France ✌🏻🏍️
There is a way around the lack of fuel gauge. My 9T ( Urban GS) gets to about 170 miles before the light comes on so I've trained myself to set the trip meter to zero every time I fill up. ( This is done by the switchgear on the left handlebar). That way you know as you're approaching about 160 miles the light will soon be coming on and it's time to look for petrol. They're a great bike with a nice friendly, torquey engine. 😊
Awesome ! Welcome back Des !
I'm glad you're back on two wheels! I was looking at the R Nine T and the new R12. No gas gauge on either, and not to mention exceeding 20 grand for a new one just made me look the other way. I hope you find the bike that calls to you next. Go and ride as many as you can! For me, the Ducati Supersport 950S is what I fell for after a test ride
yay!! :)
Hi Des I'm so glad you're back and we can watch your adventures again. Greetings from Poland. Radek
Yay!!! Welcome back!!!
Glad to see you make a return and back on 2 wheels
❤️
Welcome back👋👋👋Definitely a great overall bike to ride, although a bit pricier since it's a BMW. For me the deal breaker is no fuel indicator, it makes me want to open the tank cap and peek in from time to time LOL 😂 Do you still prefer your old Triumph or maybe something else like MT-09?
very beautiful BMW I understand you, the problem is that it's a motorcycle, it's the most stolen in the world so be very careful
Just subscribed to your channel. Have you tried taking a passenger on your scrambler? I'm itching to try it but have no idea where to begin.
"....it's been a while..." Haha, you mean like a year?
When did Tommy Chong start doing trials?
