MOST UNIQUE CRANKBAIT EVER (Everything you need to know about the Hybrid Hunter)

Спорт

You asked for an all in depth look at the new Strike King Hybrid Hunter and here it is. I show all the new colors that will be out in a couple of weeks. I also explain how the Hybrid Hunter works and how and where you might throw one. I even show the bait under water and explain what to look for when choosing a color.

Great little Lake it was closed and restored around 15 years ago they stocked it with Florida strain plus it's packed with vegetation of all kinds.. a lot of double digits have come out of there for its size.. We have a lot of good lakes here in my area but I mainly fish Caddo Lake and the Red River pools! The hybrid hunter was all we could get bit on that day also. Long story short I have 4-6 left after friends and family either BORROWED them or they magically disappeared, I have been impressed with them obviously, I bought them a good while back too. It appears The HH has a better build and action etc. I fished them 5-6 years ago on Falcon, WOW. I bet a few are in my BIL lake house on T- Bend. Great Job!!

I got turned on to this bait by the M. Stefan YT channel, and after "diving deeper" with your reviews a handful are on the way. I fish from the bank and a kayak, mostly laydowns and sometimes submergent veg. Your explanation of jerkbait colors/action without having to dig bottom was spot on for me. I'm picturing using it as-is, and adding lead/feathered trebles just like my jerks...BAM! Suspending cranks were a thing back in the day, and I don't think they get enough love'n, lol.

  • @Histryboy

Todd, the short of it is the Hybrid Hunter really IS the best crankbait I have ever used. I have caught more 5+lb LMB on it than any other lure up and down the line of options for hard baits. In fact I have a little farm pond that I test gear and baits on before I boat up and head to the lake. I have fished this lil pond for years and never caught anything on ANY bait over 2 lbs. I take HH regular size (perch) throw it three times and catch 2 5lb LMB back to back!!! that made me a believer and was the beginning of many more. It rarely gets hung and comes through cover crazy good. The hunting action of it is unlike anything else out there, you never really know what its going to do especially if/when it makes contact with cover. The faster you crank it the more aggressive bite you get. My local lake is Jordan Lake in NC and almost no one that I talked to has heard of the HH...which is just perfect! Just wanted to say you are rite and to let others know HH is the biggest secret around for LMB fishing. If you do not have one, you need to get it! Results will come guaranteed. Regular or Jr. both are effective and you cant go wrong with Smoooooooth! Thanks man I appreciate your knowledge share and appreciate the honest approach.

I bought a bunch of these baits caught a few largemouth on them I ordered the smaller ones I live in pa so I average 2lb bass every so often I get a 5 to 6 lb , that’s why I go with the smaller of the 2 any ways I’m having a problem with them to where they are not running straight out of the package , has anyone else had this problem? I get the players out too tune them I feel that the eyelit is on the weaker side and you can clearly see it is not sitting straight it’s cocked too the side . When they run straight they catch fish

I took two rods out to the lake the other day right at sundown and threw a jig n craw while the sun set, and as soon as the sun went down and it was dark, I threw the hybrid hunter, I got 7 bass in about 2 hrs and out of that 7 only 2 of them were less than 18” and 3lbs…. I didn’t leave the lake til almost 10:30pm bc they JUST KEPT HITTING THIS THING…. TRY IT AT NIGHT!

The side imaging video was on Livingston, I gotta be honest it wouldn't be that good now if I did a video. It's as bad as I've ever seen it, and it won't get any better until one thing happens. If they dropped that thing 6 to 7 foot for five years it would be one of the best lakes in the state, but that will never happen. Silt is the death of Livingston.

And none work like this bait, unique is not the same as “one of a kind” it just means it’s different than most. It is an old style lip and the reason you don’t see them anymore is because they didn’t know how to build a bait around them.
