Caught this GIANT BASS on a bait that most people still don't know about (GOT A FREE REPLICA)

Ойын-сауық

Although this bait has been around for awhile most anglers still don't know about it. It's still and underground thing at the professional level because they don't want to expose the bait. I've been telling guys don;'t sleep on this bait. This won't be the last you hear of it either.

MY PROFILE:
I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn't have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors. I have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey...it should be an honest and fun ride!

Use the saying if you see something say something. If you see people taking , make them in the least uncomfortable while they do it. Maybe they will stop maybe they won't but let it catch in they people will say something to you in an aggressive manner. It's natural behavior to avoid confrontation. The silent need to unzip there mouths.

great job showing this off to the world. it's one thing to stock a ton of fish. releasing these very special large fish back to naturally breed is key, you know for sure the genetics are good for growing master level fish. and you always have the chance down the road for someone else to catch the monster you let live.

After watching your videos last year i picked up a few and smashed on them in Feb March and April on big Sam. One day i hit inside grass lines and had over 30 keepers in about an hour. Same day I saw Dakota Ebare filming a pro team journal video on my way back to the ramp. Next trip i slid in to check that spot and caught a 9.8 and left. Great bait, one that may run down to 7-8 feet would be great for when the water rises above the grass after a draw down.

They do the free replicas on toledo bend for bass 10lbs and bigger but texas has better regulations in place to grow bigger bass for sure... I've caught a couple over 10 1st one I didn't know about the replicas and let her go after some pictures but the 2nd one by the time I was going to pick up to get it weighed for the free replica she wasn't doing good in the live wells so I didn't want to chance it. I would love a video on best way to keep bass alive and even what to do when you catch them out deep.

Love those baits. Funny thing is now I don't have any square bills in my tackle bag. Favorite colors are Clearwater Minnow, Oyster and chartreuse Perch and Gold. I have the smooth and haven't thrown it but may need to have it with me this Saturday on Chic. Usually throw the Jr most but will use the original on bluff walls and summer time into fall. Absolutely love this bait. Quick question for you, I notice it is cloudy, what was the water clarity. I usually throw oyster when it is low light, cloudy and some stain in the water. and Gold or Chartreuse Perch when it is cloudy but water is pretty clear with great results. So what made you decide to throw Smooth?

Hey Todd I’ve been fishing the Hybrid Hunter for several years since seeing your first Hybrid Hunter video of you fishing with it. I have had great results fishing it early morning, late evening in swamps in 4 feet of water over grass. Initially I wasn’t able to purchase the lure locally here in Canada and was able to purchase several at Academy Sports in Houston when I was down visiting family. Question: Besides the size, is the only other difference between the Hybrid Hunter and the Hybrid Hunter Jr. the depth is goes when retrieved? Thanks

My only comment I'd empty beds fade fast, so if it looks fresh, you know the fish is either coming and going or hasn't been gone long. Fish leaves, and the next day, you can't hardly tell it's a bed or you at least know it's not fresh.

Dude, Louisiana hates fish and deer. If our population could kill them all they would. I wish we would go to 5 bass, but our "biologists" say we have plenty fish and the data doesn't support restrictions. On a good note, a lot more guys turn back the big ones and don't keep as many as in years past. I do keep bass on public lakes, but not all the time. I certainly don't keep anything over 3 pounds. One ugly truth too keep in mind as well is that the guy that shows up to Toledo twice a year and keeps all his fish kills less bass than am avid tournament angler on the lake.

This video actually pisses me off, because Tennessee doesn't do jack sh for bass. We have hatcheries all over, for trout... 25 trout fishermen in a state with 2 million bass fishermen. I literally argued with twra about it, she says there are more bass in Tennessee now than has ever been. They've been counting with Morris code technology and I have 2023 tech to count with.
