I watched this video Saturday, and ended up buying a full size Hybrid Hunter on Sunday. I immediately went fishing to test out a new rod and reel I bought, and tied on the HH. First cast I caught one at least 3lbs, and then two more over 4 in the next hour. I’m in Kentucky and had a high of 32 yesterday. Glad I watched your video!

I've been using the hybrid hunter since 2020. The lakes were I fish are mostly grass, lilies and hydrilla . Hardly any hard bottom areas so forget trying to deflect off anything on the bottom ,so far this is the best crankbait to come through the grass and have caught a lot of bass on this bait.

The Red hook in the front makes perfect sense to me, it gives the impression that the Lure is bleeding. Thanks for everything you do and PLEASE!! keep the Videos coming!!!

You and Todd have sold it to me. I have yet to pick up any HHS but definitely plan on it. I am envisioning myself on some of my killer redeye shad spots and breaking out the HH! I am wondering if there are times were they will hit the HH and not the trap. Maybe but time will tell! You boys are good salesman but in this case I believe it’s a fish catcher ! Thanks Andrew!

I'm new to the channel but i am a Florida fisherman. So I'm very used to dealing with grassy lakes. I'm gonna pick up a few of those HH thanks.

Tell yall this....... I've tried 20 diffrent rods for all purpose reaction rods. And drew done took words outta my mouth. The kvd lews series came out couple years ago. Best rods on market for 99.99$. The gc3 glass rod is killer for, small to med cranks, spinnerbaits, and chatterbaits. They could sell these rods for 175$-250$ price range. Not gonna throw other rods under the bus, but best rod for money by far!!!!!

I bought a couple of them this year and loved them. But, was having trouble keeping them buttoned. I did change out the hooks.

I been trying to find one to replace the one I lost. Every time I go to Bass Pro or Academy sports there gone. And the reel I mostly use is a 6:8.1 I only use the 7:5.1 for lipless and buzz baits sometimes a swim jig.

Just picked up a few of the small sized HH's ....... and was wondering about what setup to use...... Thinking maybe my chaterbait setup..... 7'3" heavy glass.....16lb Sunline sniper.... Is that overkill for this application....??? Excited about trying out this new technique...... I know it will have a niche on my home lake..... Thanks for sharing and the great content.... If u think the HH is good in the grass, throw it in the timber. 4 wheel drive. It’s almost like there’s no hooks on it when it hits timber.

Great juice on the Hybrid Hunter. Also great info on equipment, except line. Curious to size, mono/braid/flourcarbon. Love the vids my friend and good luck this year on your circuits.

That bait is good I agree but I also like a Baby Minus by Mann’s bait co!! But it doesn’t run like a hybrid the hybrid does run different!! Good Video!!

Absolutely love the hybrid hunter. Finally playing with the shallow one now that I got like 3 of each color. Did you throw one on Cherokee Lake this spring like I did? And you are correct they are not just for shallow water.

Any thoughts on the HH shallow version? From the pictures they look the same as the originals.

It’s been on my radar for a few years but honestly the hydrilla around me seems too thick for trebles. The coots are starting to work on the hydrilla now and it’s probably time to pick one up.

I use one rod, the Team Lew’s Signature Mark Rose Swimbait rod. It’s a 7’6”. I love it

What’s up Andrew! Merry Christmas. Are the hooks you add straight shank, ewg, etc?

Maybe I missed it but what size line do you use. I have all the big ones and three of the small ones. Now I’m going to have to get the rest of the small ones. I have had good success with this bait. Thanks for sharing.

For the little one you can use 15-17lb fluorocarbon. On the big one the smallest I use is 17lb and typically use 20lb.

I've asked several people but haven't got any answers yet but if you could only carry like 2 colors of Hybrid Hunters which colors would suggest because some people carry backpack to pond hop so I need to have a couple to cover everything

Hybrid hunter bite is addicting. Specifically on the big one. Never know in the first second or two if it’s a great big one.

I wonder if KVD is catching Hell for his recent Hybrid Hunter JR video he just put out ...😏

i use the 6th sense swank. a little more expensive but better paint options and way better stock hooks

This lure is bad to the bone. Unbelievable the fish you can catch on it. I do wish they made a silent version though. May have to modify my own. The white colors work great in stained to muddy water. Will try your #2 hook version.

Trash lure. Sorry. If you need this to fish grass, you need to stop fishing. Overrated and overhyped. The swim is no good. The lure is no good. I don't know where yall fishing but come try that in Fresno, CA.
