Superman was downplayed and Goku was wanked. Superman at his best is Extraversal while Goku at his best in DBS is only Low Multiversal and in Xenoverse is only Outerversal. Also Galactus is downplayed and Unicron is about right. Galactus normally is Universe+ but when he's full and after current events he's easily High Outerversal and Lightbringer Galactus was Infinite Outerversal.

Goku is Low Multiversal as he cannot even destroy Infinite 4D Universes and Unicron is Multiverse+ for, well... threatening to and having the power to destroy the Multiverse lol and Galactus scales to Outerversal powers due to Marvel cosmology and generic Celestials can be argued to be Outerversal alone and Galactus surpasses all other Celestials apart from Dark Celestials. Also due to D.C. Cosmology Superman at his peak using the Story Of Superman is top 5 in the verse only being beaten by beings such as Ehl, Milk-Man Man, Greg Freehly and The Leviathan Of Stories which are all Extraversal. There's nothing that contradicts any of this.

I still think a "Most Unfair Death Battles by my logic" series would go hard, where instead of ranking it by Death Battle's research, you rank them by your research and you can compare the two series.

Not really. Death battle doesn't even know fire emblem and really over played Dimitri with feats he never displayed. And most game feats are not even canon to The story. Otherwise guts game feats also would be canon. And The javelin of light were not even nukes, The explosion of the ones rhea took were small. We even see the size of the explosion, they are smaller than rhea, one even hits the ground and it barely made a small crater. And Dimitri can't tank a javelin of light , he dies from knives, as he almost died from Fleche, a Girl with a dagger. The feats are exaggerated, which most death battle scalers do. Most fire emblem fans didn't down play Dimitri, they scale him much better than any death battle "researcher".

Of course în some comics you will have a baby sneezing a multi verse cuz comics. But three houses is just one world, unless you count fire emblem heroes. There are writers who have spiderman being out of character and dorind things he would never do. Comics are written by different writers that can write whatever they want. I bet there îs a Tony stark who îs home less and ends up beating a multiversal entity în a few days.

I think someone already said it, but "retroactively wrong" episodes would be fun to look at, based on characters who have gotten greater feats since their debut. That would require research beyond the episode itself but I think it'd be pretty interesting to retroactively analyze episodes of Death Battle to see if the results hold up with new statistics (like if Pikachu still gets stomped by Blanka, or if Rainbow Dash would actually beat Starscream)

There was idea of it on death battle subreddit where they have gone on each season and each episode with question right or wrong at today. Surprisingly i think the lowest was around 60% (edit: the lowest is 78%) for one of seasons while on average it's like 87% or so especially by time of latest episodes.

Not to forget Galactus had a weapon that could perfectly deal with Unicron. The moment they mentioned that i knew it was over. Literally gets around Unicron's whole thing. So even if Galactus was just as strong or even weaker than Unicron, he would still win, which is crazy.

An interesting potential video in the same vein as this one is which matchups are retroactively wrong by using the current stats for one fighter but the original stats of the other. For example, the current Goku’s stats (that they use strictly for DBZ) means he speedblitzes the hell out of the stuff they gave only for GvS 1. They also made Vegeta win Thor’s match by making him ludicrously stronger and equivalent in speed, given they directly scale him to Goku.

Technically Thor vs Vegeta could still be correct. Yes their universe calc would now be wrong. But unless you also give Vegeta infinite speed (which would be fair) Thor would still win with the god blast which threatened infinite infinities Galactus. Goku's immeasurable speed was partially given to him because of ultra instinct which Vegeta doesnt have. So Thor could still be faster. But thats definetly debattable since they also claimed stopping a merged Zamasu could imply infinite speed.

I'm a fan of Three Houses, neutral on Dimitri, and while I'm not sure whether I think he wins, the logic DB uses is definitely faulty. They compared Dimitri defeating a mutated Edelgard to a non-mutated Edelgard with an axe defeating Rhea, to Rhea surviving a couple of missiles, with no proof that the connections are actually relevant. Especially as far as Edelgard is concerned.

It is hilarious to me how, once we get to those top episodes, they don't seem like as big of stomps to a casual viewer. For most people who watch Galactus vs. Unicron, it probably just feels like "Oh yeah, they do the same stuff, but Galactus' world is bigger. Okay, so it was pretty close then". Since our brains don't have a way of conceptualizing infinities stacking on top of infinities. Not to say people are stupid. We just literally aren't built to be able to see math at that level.

You can finish a map with just one character that concically didn't fight anyone not he killed everyone în The Map. You can beat the final boss solo with a villager, even tho he didn't în canon. The gameplay feats are nkt for logic, but for gameplay mechanics, which again, do Not mix with the actual feats. So being from a game means that death battle once again, exaggerate the feats.

You can even have characters like lysithea who îs weak af, lift things în gameplay. So yes, to combat îs mostly canon în cutscene, not în gameplay. The canon ignores HOW you did it în gameplay and goes to a cutscene. Dimitri can also get killed în gameplay by a thief with a wooden bat, would you consider that canon?

Didn't they say in Dark Souls vs Skyrim, that the Dark Souls universe can not be infinite, as if it was the first flame could not go out?

@jasondobbins9735 the best scaling I could have is the Elden Beast being basically a arbiter for at least a infinite multiverse and the Erdtree basically being exactly like Yggdrasil. The tarnished scales directly too the Elden Beast and by extension the Erdtree itself from what I can gather. Granted, it is my interpretation of how the Elden Beast is and how its arena looks to be an infinitely expanding mass of Erdtree's all of which house their own universe of stars, solar systems, galaxies, and universes. I didn't say that the Tarnished would win, as they still get AP stomped from what I can gather.

Technically they put Discord at 4D+ while they put Bill at 5D, which would make the stomp on the level of Chosenborn at #5 instead of #3.

And do correct me if I'm wrong here since I don't do scaling this high, my brain melts. So, if they mention a character is beyond dimentiality in the next season, we have a new winner for biggest stomp.

Halfway through the video, I thought to myself that Galactus versus Unicron was going to take the #1 spot here. Oh, how naive I was to get it right.

Bruh, never knew that from skyrim vs dark souls to galactus vs unicron, are one of the most unfeir matches in fictional history. And i am quite suprised that they depict each one of these unfair battles as if they're equal. Kinda interesting to point out.

i find makima vs gojo to be a bit of a schrödinger's stop, specifically because i don't quite remember how they explained reversed curse healing, and if they touched if it can regenerate his head. realistically it shouldn't, because cursed energy is fueled by emotions and those come from the brain, plus gojo isn't automatically regenerating like makima, so if she landed a blow to his head, she'd hypothetically just win. this would technically mean gojo doesn't perfectly counter makima with his abilities, making it overall a bit more fair. but rather than confirm or deny this, i don't think they even mention gojo's brain, meaning you can't tell if by their own logic, makima even has a chance of killing him, which if not would definitely be a stomp.

Correct me if i am wrong at all. But didnt galactic loose to thanos in one timeline? Who doesn't have any of that infinity stuff?

Welcome to comic books where one day Spiderman can be portrayed as somewhat superhuman, and the next trading blows with the hulk.

The most unfair death battle in my opinion was Dragonborn vs Chosen Undead. Chosen Undead was like a Universal+/4D being who was put up against a guy who was compared to the level of a Daedric Prince who are beings that can casually manipulate countless infinite dimensional realms of Oblivion... and this was only after the Dragonborn absorbed his first dragon soul (so really early into Skyrim).

Doesn't help that they goofed with Dark Souls' universe quite a bit, especially with how they spoke about the First Flame being powerful enough to sustain their universe and flow of time but "can't be infinite" because otherwise "it never would've faded to begin with" Adding on with one small quote out of Clavicus Vile when you (aka the DB) asked for power and his response is translatable as "dude, you *_already_* have power, what more could you want?" and its pretty clear in reminding people that Death Battle doesn't know what they're doing.

The funny part about the FE community thinking Guts should’ve won and learning what power scaling is, was that they didn’t even give Dimitri his FTL combat speed iirc. Like, Guts stood NO CHANCE bro

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that MM VS SS was weirdly laid out. Knowing nothing about the characters, of course I betted on the multiversal being who could match Superman and God over a planet buster

Dimensional tiering and its consequences has been a disaster for the Power Scaling community. In all seriousness though it does get kinda frustrating when a debate seems super close and enjoyable to determine the differences, and then someone comes in and declares everything irrelevant because one character experiences things in a way that is as alien to our experience, as our experience is to theirs, but this character as a 4 next to it while the other has a 3. Doctor Who actually did a really good episode on this, a 2D species was invading Earth and humanity couldn't fight back because we have no way of fighting something that doesn't even play by the same ruleset as 3D beings. It's actually a really interesting concept that handles "Dimensionality" better than anyone in the Power Scaling community has ever tried to handle it

Fun fact, you cant have multiple infinities, even if you have infinite infinities, its still equal to infinite. Thats why powerscaling in unimaginable numbers is nonsense. Death Battle is just an entertainment show, and sometimes they dont even try to make sense. The one thing i dont like about them is that they often cherry pick feats from different versions of a character to create a ultimate form that doesnt even exist.

If you can go above infinite, then the infinite power the previous character had is obviously not infinite...

​@@DemiCapeNot necessarily. Kuro the artist explained that concept in one of his videos. Numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc are infinite. Numbers 0, 2, 4, etc are also infinite, but they are objectively less than numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc because they don't include numbers 1, 3, etc with them.

The reason ss won because MM didn’t have a way to put him down permanently, also MM has a weakness that is a natural ability of silver surfer. Meanwhile MM had no abilities to put ss down.

That goku vs superman fight was lit.

Darth Vader vs Obito should be wrong by other episodes logic. They use upscaling for Gojo in Gojo vs Makima, but don't give Vader upscaling he would get from the Ewok feat. In the black box they scale him to Luke who had a picosecond reaction feat which at minimum would make Vader 23× faster. And in the black box they say Vader can resist the soul manipulation but he has to use an ability.

Question: Where exactly did DB scale Superman? Are you saying he's 9 Dimensional, or 12 Dimensional?

I should note that Goku vs Superman should probably be way lower since at no point were things like The Bleed stated to be higher dimensions within Goku vs Superman 2023 itself. Rather, the black box seemed to imply that The Bleed and the Sphere of the Gods were inferior to Mxy's 5th dimension, given the 5th dimension was noted AFTER The Bleed and Sphere of the Gods.

The funny thing about Goku vs. Superman, that I always say is to forget the numbers and instead look at how many feats they have done that are infinite in idea. Whatever Goku has done, Superman has done 5 times over and on a bigger scale. Destory a universe with punch collisons? Done it at least 4 times. Move faster than time? Done it 5 times. Shook voids? Yes. Defeated gods? Yes. Superman is even immune to being hakai'd or erased from existence.

I love how open minded this video is. Nemesis even puts the Stitch vs Rocket gap in between #5 and #4 for those who prefer that, and he straight up says all of the bigger than infinity ones are really subjective and could be placed in just about any order. I'll honestly be very surprised if Death Battle ever tops Galactus vs Unicron in terms of power gap.

Im just tired of basically every character being scaled to light speed and multiversal... like, thats just random statements that mean nothing to what human comprehension actually allows for. Its not really a fun match when its "infinity" vs "infinity+1".

Infinity vs infinity + doesn’t even make sense in the first place, there is nothing that goes above infinite power, if it does, then it is clearly not infinite because there is actually an end to that power, a limit to that power. So you can’t really say that character has infinite power anymore if a character can surpass that power. I had an argument with some guy in this comment section that supported the idea of infinity + and man what he said sounded stupid.

If they ever bring The Doctor back with The Glory, considering it's above Galactus and the entirety of the Marvel cosmology, it would be wild. I really hope they do, because having The Doctor, a madman with a box, as the strongest character in Death Battle history would be hilarious.

It is not. a character beyond the concept of spatial dimensions (Outerversal like zatana) Vs a wall level character.

So superman can stomp Bill Cipher, never knew.

I Agree with the Chosen Undead Vs Dragonborn, Sure chosen to can come back over and over but Dragonborn is Way too powerful for Chosen Undead to really do anything. And Dragonborn Didn't even use 5% of his abilities and weapons

More than half of the combatants were universal, including Scooby Doo and Courage, the weakest characters should still destroy a large Town, and the slowest could run across America in 3 minutes. So the latter.
