Yeah, that bugged me a lot. The prompt was, "Are men and women equal?" The prompt was NOT "Is there a historical reason why men and women aren't equal?" And yet he kept answering it that way... 🤦‍♀️

Although we left nearly 10 years ago some of the problematic behaviours i had not even considered. When i saw the look on my son’s partners face as she realised that an activity for women had to be presided over by men or at the very least approved. She said why, cant women be trusted?

If you give a girl the priesthood, she'll probably realize she doesn't need to ask for a man's opinion when making a decision. Then her confidence will rise, and she'll start to see herself as a smart, capable person. When her self-respect increases, she'll probably notice that she has her own opinions about things like morality and truth. She might get curious about different belief systems, and she'll probably start to realize that some things she's been told don't line up with reality. When she looks for someone to talk to, she'll probably run across some ex-members who empathize and support her. And if she makes friends with apostates, she might see how happy and fulfilled their lives are. If she no longer fears a life of misery and emptiness, she might be brave enough to admit that she doesn't want to be a Mormon anymore. And if she leaves the cult and embarks on a life of self-discovery, courage, new experiences, and endless opportunities for joy...well, she probably won't need the priesthood anymore.

This is done on purpose, if women held all these callings, each ward would need an entire HR department just to handle all the complaining, bickering & emotional distress
