MVP this game was definitely darknight's commander, with a special mention to the missile truck AFUS sniping.

Catapults are my favourite unit. Far from perfect but dayum, even two of them - properly handled - is so fun

I was Dark green in this game, I found the path finding really bad. Wasn't prepared for some units (even bots) not being able to go down the most simple of slopes. Hope you also have the vods of the earlier 5 v 5 v 5 v 5 before this game, they were a lot better imho.

the answer is technically no but mostly yes: in most people's cases the difference between color sensitivity in human eyeballs is miniscule, at least until life hits 'em and the wear and tear starts making things more varied. the real question is whether we _experience_ different colors and the answer to that is...actually kinda complicated: while the signals coming from your eyes are going to be pretty similar the way in which your brain interprets sensory information gets exponentially more unique as it propagates through your brain even when viewing it at the "incredibly vague general trends" lack-of-detail level you get from watching an MRI or EEG (...why does a one word name have a three letter acronym anyways? "electroencephalograph") on top of that the line between the sensory interpretation portions of your brain and the connections between them and your sensory organs is a lot blurrier than you might expect from -popular media- media in general, with the eyes in particular the argument can be taken to the point where the photoreceptors in your eyeballs are considered part of the brain.

Another big difference between Total Annihilation, Supreme Commander & Beyond all Reason and all other strategy games is: The former have flow economics and the latter have stock economics. Meaning in the former you do not have to pay the cost ahead, meanwhile the latter pay in advance.

I called it correctly. The instant I saw Dolfy in that top corner, and that his opposing corners were the lowest rated players of their teams, I put my money confidently on Dolfy winning it via eco farming. All the other skilled players that squandered all their metal fighting over a handful of mexes that no one even bothered to reclaim in the late game, just getting utterly eclipsed. Whilst this is certainly still fun in it's own way, it does seem a bit of a shame that fighting for map control, is effectively a noob trap. ( In this particular match, at least.)

@@lexlancelian8481 Yeah, I feel like the ideal strategy in a match like this, is to put a competent eco player in that corner, and then every other player literally dedicates their efforts to defending. Stall enemies for mid, maybe take it temporarily, but don't waste resources trying to keep it. Just turtle up and make those narrow chokes work for you. Is basically what Dolfs team did.

I love how Raikoh is saying Dolf will tech and win.... Seems like they remember the outcome of the recent ffa where Dolf took the northeast corner and had an eco that surpassed every other player combined by the late game. Edit: additional note, bit of a sticky point for me in these ffas, why do teams or players NOT combine power and attack the strong team/player? Those three teams did best when they did a combined attack on Dolf's team. Otherwise, Dolf's team was like, "Let them fight..." 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

I would guess the reason teams don't ally to take down a strong player is that they're not used to playing in a match with more than 1 enemy team. They don't know how to ally an enemy team, don't trust their enemy allies and don't work well with their enemy allies. Dolf's team had a huge lead from the moment Dolf sacced his com for t2. That lead only grew as they didn't face any serious aggression until they had well and truly established their overwhelming eco lead.
