change does suck. But a good spot is so hard to come by. When fish start biting there goes the neighborhood!

cool stuff and nice to get the old school guys perspective from way back. however the change in scenery, culture, approach to many things are similar across the board in many aspects of life. it's the ones that can brake out of their comfort zone and adjust that can make Glory days or golden years into not a blip in their fishing journey but a era that last a lifetime. adjust adjust adjust. don't get stagnant and be willing to evolve because it's inevitable and uncontrollable

"Ours, but I'm not a resident". That's the mentality why a lot people have no respect for each other and the sport. The sense of entitlement of public access beaches and land. No disrespect big fan of the site and online magazine. It's like that everywhere now especially the cape cod canal, " I fished here for 30 years so I'm entitled not to follow common fishing etiquette but you are" BS. Not saying it's everyone but most feel that way.

Yep...(roll-eyes)......Disgusting entitled attitudes in this video....Everyone's a self proclaimed expert and entitled because they fished it for years...WOW....."OURS"...."REALLY" ... @ 8:24 What an entitled dumbass BS comment .............Montauk is a joke...No Thanks......There are many other places to catch good bass without the dumbass attitudes in this video.....watching all these guys drag bass away from the beach was shameful.....Release some fish..........WOW OH BOY....I GOT A KEEPER....PLEASE GUYS TRY GROWING UP

I understand what he means but I also agree with you I have been places where the other guys were mad that I was there fishing and I guess they didn’t like that I was a young kid that wasn’t from the area

People will tell their friends if they're nearby...that's human nature. I tell my friends after I'm done fishing. Bill? You wouldn't use your cell phone but you WOULD use your CB radio? Do you hear yourself?! 😀. Anyway, good video as always. Tightest of lines... Frank

I've been gone from the east end for 15 plus years now, sad to hear that Montauk is now a Hampton. it was where you would go in the summer to get away from the Hamptons. I used to love the Irish kids who came to town in the summer I don't suppose they come anymore, probably too expensive now

I’m a Surfcasters out of the north east.. I’m young but I respect everybody. But lately people have been disrespectful and threatening other fisherman and it’s just really sad to see. Makes me lose heart for the game.

Interesting that fishermen can't seem to understand that if you keep the fish eventually they are gone. Its a human trait to think I fish too little to impact on the fish stocks but when there are thousands of guys with the same attitude there is an impact. I always say throw it back if you need it for food tell me I'll buy you a chicken to eat the fish is irreplaceable. There is a base need in man to feel like I hunted it killed it and ate it which can only work in a world where the population is 10% of what it is now. Fish are too precious to only catch once.

ALL fishing is going that route(I got mine)ALL FISHING. saltwater, freshwater it's all the same,in a boat, beating the bank, and everybody is a tough guy. at 62 years old I've seen so much. Now you have SKISHING, people getting in the water with wet suits. I've had people in boats pull dead in front of me, boats parking on top of each other. there is NO respect for anyone(I GOT MINE). I noticed in the video people walking away with fish, who's throwing anything back? ALL FISHING.. LITTER, I don't even want to think about it. People running their dogs of leash and not cleaning up after them.It goes on and on. And what are you going to say, He's just a bitter old man. IF you see me out there I might want to get a little dysfunctional too.
