Alberto nails it. Those who think it is all luck really don't get fishing. Yes some luck is needed but you can't catch big fish consistently with just luck anymore than you can consistently win a poker with just luck. It takes skill, patience, understanding and dedication.

Edward Mero late reply but take your fingernail and gently swipe it on your braid up to 5 times, this will remove the coating on braid that makes it slip. if this won’t work you might be tying something wrong

@@Distantttt don’t wrapt the windings tight …let there be some gaps so when you’re doing the reverse wrap they all get webbed together… And a drop of crazy glue for those like me who just suck at knots Alberto himself taught me his knot and Ive used it ever since …2000 or so when he ventured to Montauk with me. Practice helps and I now consider myself pretty sufficient at the Alberto Knot Just a nice man!!! The best ..
