Remember the first time I saw this, I thought they were trying to tell me I was dead.

The only thing better than the Original in the Remake's version of this scene is LeChuck's voice acting, which is great in the entire game.

I like the special edition version. That guitar is my jam and I like the voice acting. To me it's funny.

2:54 I'm glad they didn't use Guybrush's sprite from the Special Edition of MI1, cause he looked horrible in that!

First when he fell and the screen turns red i totally freaked out like: What the FUCK?! What's this?!! I don't save the Game!! :D :D :D

No, the vocals are perfect for what they're trying to achieve her.

Oh, God, OH GOD, OH GOOOD! MY MONITO--- oh, ok, thank you, Guybrush.

That foreshadowing at the end whe Le Chuck show up in Guybrush clothes(later showing that they are brothers), same as when Luke "killed" Vader in Empire Strikes Back and he saw his own face under the mask (and later find out he is his father)

The MIDI arrangement for the MT-32 sounds much better.

They must have patched this game, coz when i got to this bit on 360 the singing was completely out of sync.

For every league of Legends player: Dr Mundo sings a little from this song during fighting.

Heard this song being hummed in an episode of masters of horrors. And the song fits the "bones" subject matter of the episode. I think it was season 2 episode 1 family.

The red background is all mess up in this version unfortunately. In the original, the real background just removed instantly after the root beer spray. when Guybrush is laydown on the floor, the background is all normal, which makes clear when the dream starts and ends. Here, for some random reason, the red fades just after he is already up and out of the dream... Makes no sense to me. And don't want to sound nitpicking, however, the flicker of position from "past Guybrush" after his transformation is also something... This is the kind of thing that make the special edition loses its charm.

You do know that in the Special Editions of Monkey Island, you can choose to play the game with the classic graphics and without voice acting, right?

I wonder.... What if we forget the song? How does the game rectify that?

Incoming "the old version was better" comments. So this sucks because they polished the graphics so we can play it without looking at moving pixels? I am so bored of people always trashing new projects in the name of "the good old days" . Deal with it :)

Andreas Akritas The new artwork isn't nearly as good as the gorgeous original backgrounds but otherwise the addition of voices is fantastic and the redone music sounds is great too.

Let me just point out that those who say anything's good or bad are judging by their own subjective perspective, something that's most likely most meaningful only to those that made them. With that said, I would like to point out, I actually saw large traces of doubt within the remastered graphics; in other words, there's plentiful of signs that whomever made the newer artwork, they had doubted the end result, causing the projected thought to show this, and be damaged as the result. If you want the intended experience, use the original pixel art. At least the original art showed a lot way less doubt in regards to its projected thought, allowing it to better serve for the game's immersion..

Original is better. Doesn't need voices to be funny

Much less charming than the original, I think. But if the better resolution and sync makes kids appreciate this classical series more, I guess it's a good thing anyway.

In the next game Guybrush sings himself. Edward Van Helgen definitely thinks he's tone deaf!
