@Stacey Angela you're right about the description and also about the fact that it's wrong, but that's a problem that the English language portrays. According to sociolinguistics, it's an acceptable term because most african American people prefer to be called black rather than people of color, especially in recent years due to what they represent and the fact that they're proud about it. The term has not been set to define the color of the skin according to the complexion, but according to the background. Sure I can say I'm black but that doesn't really mean that I have black skin, rather it's what I represent. Because as much as black is represented as an obscurity and has a negative connotation behind it....it also means that it's tough, solid and it represents strength. I'm of the belief that people have generally accepted this description. But then again, this is the product of centuries and centuries of language usage. If you see other cultures, some use the word "brown" or "dark", but some use even harsher words like "slave" (I'm translating). I agree that the use of the word should be changed and it will change as time passes, but if someone uses it as an everyday language, you shouldn't be offended. If there's the chance, you can always educate them but it should be in the best of manners. Never get offended or defensive about it tho. Asalamu aleykum sister

It's so good to hear a brother condemning this harmful movement and challenging idiotic ideals about beauty. Kevin Samuels as a black man should really get therapy for internalising racist ideologies and beauty standards. Whilst women and men have different roles, we are both a prize and comfort for one another. Whenever I've questioned red pill creators, they and/or their followers label me a feminist who needs to pay more attention to my husband. Alhamdulilah I've been happily married for 10+ years, even though I'm a housewife I Allah SWT has blessed me financially and I chose to boost my husband's income so he doesn't have to work two jobs. To me he is a high value man because of his character, not because of his income. Ironically, many red pill content creators are divorced yet dispensing marriage advice suggesting the avoidance of divorced Muslimah's. Some of these brothers have been divorced 10 times yet they condemn divorced women? If I was single and the only Muslim men available were red pill followers, i would rather die alone. They infer women are objects and their value is directly related to virginity, youth and complete obedience. What about completing half our Deen and following Islam? 😞

I don't agree with Samuel's a lot of the time, but I think you got it a bit wrong. I think what he's saying is that men need to adjust their standards based on their income and women based on their beauty. Because his point is that naturally and maybe biologically women look for financially stability and men for beauty. I don't think he's saying that women are ugly, but that they need to realistically adjust their standards of a man and his income based on their looks and so for men, but instead of looks, their money, since that is what women tend to look for. Not saying I agree with his points, I just think you got it wrong a bit.

@@theblackswordsmanmikael1238 but I’m really not though lol Women, men can have preferences. I think the focus should be women and men being the best they can be as a human being . Women don’t need to compete with men and men don’t need to become like women. we are equal in the eyes of our creator and within our rights but we are different. The problem is when both are going against their own nature and for men and women to raise their morality and have integrity, humanity respect, familial values And self respect. Women and men both need to be held accountable if society wants to move towards a betterment of familial relationships. You cannot put the responsibility only on one side. But that being said the whole western ideology and whole feminist movement ( which by the way initially was a great idea women wanted rights to education work and to have options and choices all fine and dandy, but it has now manifested into something that I can’t even wrap my head around with people walking around crocheted pussy hats and calling it empowerment 😪🤦🏻‍♀️) I think it’s affecting women negatively, women are doing a disservice to themselves by wanting to play both roles and this idea of having it all which is unrealistic and unattainable is leaving a lot of men and women lonely . Unrealistic expectations and entitlement from both parties has left people delusional. If I was a man and a woman told me that she was going to lay in bed with me, give me babies cook and clean for me and pay half the bills …. Shoooot sign ME UP LOL. 😂🤣 BUT WHAT DO I KNOW 😒🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m just a squirrel 🐿 sitting on this tree branch and eating deez nuts

As someone who has studied math , the thing he said about beauty being objective because we have the fibonacci " equation " is quite weird for me as the golden ratio ( which you get from dividing a number in the fibonacci sequence on the one preceding it ) is exactly 1.618... , so if any proportion you calculate for someone's face is for example 1.67 , it's not the golden ratio even if it's close to it , just like 3.18 isn't the number π which is exactly 3.1415... Plus I don't know which entity or person can decide that beauty is objective simply because there is a number involved somewhere , how we perceive and feel things isn't and can't be objective as it differs from person to person and changes with times , cultures and experiences . Anyway , my point here isn't to say that we don't find things that are well made and proportioned beautiful , it's just that I don't agree with him saying beauty is objective because of the golden ratio as if it was something self evident

It's completely ridiculous, nonsensical, and has nothing to do with it. Phi is just the limit of the chain fraction x_n+1 = 1/1+x_n, or maybe even the solution to x + y/x = x/y. What the hell has that to do with beauty (definition?)? Between beauty being evolutionary developed pseudorandomly, and a literal equation, there is no common ground. Only with mathematical logic and game theory can you reason that some beauty markers have their source in evolutionary advantages such as stable genomes, fertility, hormones, intelligence and so on.

I wonder how *HIS* facial symmetry (or whatever mathematical equation he's referring to as far as women and beauty go) would compare to whatever the "perfect" male face is??? Guarantee you, he's not going to live up to his own expectations he has for women. And yes, beauty absolutely *IS* subjective! Blessings to you. You presented it with great insight, energy, and intellect. Strong sociological and even spiritual substance. God will reward you for this. He empowers and crowns those who take a stand against injustice, and do their best to straighten crooked ways. This K. Samuels dude is just a bitter, resentful, weak old boy stuck in the disappointments part of his past. A failure who felt like he was never "considered", valued and luminous among black women, black people and people, in general. So this is the "gold shtick" he found to get back at black women, blacks and the world. It's the self-sustaining tunnel he discovered that enables him to express his anger, frustration, and projections. And in effect, consequently for once, he can feel like is on top, and acquire a sense of importance in the black community and the world that have never respected who he is - before. Who is he? An intrinsically negative person. So his "show" is basically the convenient evil route for the practical application of his revengeful thoughts and the expression of his abominable inner man. Instead of seeking healing, inner wellbeing, find ways to fix his soul to attain peace and build his character (which is the righteous healthy way), he chose the wicked destructive way... because it flatters his ego, it gives him a feeling of winning at something and ...well... it pays! And it keeps on paying and being promoted because it's capitalizing on the least socially protected group (black women). The media's punching bag and the easy money maker. And his followers (mostly low tier men), who are just as intellectually lazy and weak as him, are also just too emotional and selfish to realize that they're making a fool of themselves in front of other men. Because to real men, this behavior is just cowardly and irresponsible. A real man doesn't spend time focusing and hating on women on social media, but on building, building himself, protecting his women and teaching his community/others... My fear regarding all of this is the younger generation who's exposed to this garbage content.

Our Muslim men need to look within and must raise those who they are responsible for in a healthy and robust manner, which means their daughters etc do not fall for this Feminist crap but at the same time are strong women. That first video with this 'man' was cringe... I was struggling to get through that video just because of how inappropriate that whole situation was. May Allah guide them and that women to ask for advice from wiser men (an imam after being guided to Islam). Reducing men and women relationships to just power, physique, and finances has corrupted us deeply to the core, we don't even want to get into relationships anymore (i.e. another thing being MGTOW as part of the red pill movement). My advice to my brothers and sisters is to stick with the commandments of Allah and uphold the shariah the way it's meant to be upheld. The traditional household can never be uprooted from Islam (i.e. a man is and will always be required to be a provider and protector over his women and family, and a women is and will always be responsible for bringing up her family and children), but with that there are also many other complexities with regards to attending to each other's emotional, mental, physical wellbeing that is disregarded with these movements. Alhamdulillah for Islam, and alhamdulillah for the best role model this world has seen (SAW), and if it were not this we would have been misguided.

You must not have seen his previous videos if you don't think he hold black men accountable. For his first two to three years all he did was criticized black men. If you notice he never went viral for any of that and still to this day nobody's complaining or protesting those particular videos. Now you want to talk about Injustice, you favoring one supposed wrong other another because one is female and the other male is an injustice. How can one side be sharply criticized for years and nobody has an issue with it and then when it's time for the other side to be sharply criticized now it's time to go into a panic because of the "cruelty" of it.

There is no system or idealogy that can outshine both the spiritual and practical benefits of our beautiful Deen of Islam. I commend our brother Mr. Hijab on acknowledging the systematic injustices that was designed to break up our black families and communities in the United States but we can't overlook the many internal issues we have in the black community. There are many things that Mr. Samuel's points out about the issues between black men and women that are very valid. Getting black men to acknowledge and build their worth who have largely been damaged by the single parent-matriach system can not be grouped with the Redpill movement nor can the injustices suffered by black women can be grouped with the feminist movement. Many of our brothers and sisters who will comment on this thread will not be able to relate. As Muslims we will all know and walk based on what is prescribed to us but to those who are non-black Muslims who are not in America, only have their own unique struggles from their communities to draw own and respectfully know nothing of the Black American community issues. Many of those same non-black fellow Muslims who have at one time of another suggested that blacks, "pull themselves up by their boot straps.". Again all systems are flawed compared to Islam and while us Black /African Americans have alot of external injustices, it is the internal injustices that we put on ourselves that keep the racist engine moving. When our community are more united with the foundation of a woman and a man seeing and moving justly as one; the racist bigots and system can not stop us.

@@okbrostartcoping5835 Well according to one of many al hadiths on marriage or about wives is when our beloved Prophet (sallallahu alahi wasalam) is narrated saying... "Four things bring one joy: a righteous wife, a spacious house, a pious neighbor, and a comfortable riding animal."... On the notion of a righteous wife bringing joy; if a woman is only good for sex than she will not bring much joy outside of the moment. There are plenty of physical exchanges between men and a women only to be followed by strife, conflict, enmity, and regret. However, what peace, support, devotion, respect, and honor does the woman offer her husband that will out weigh and outlive the joys of her body? The same way what else does a man offer beyond resources and provision? What is that worth without wisdom, protection, direction, leadership, and respect for his wife?

@@okbrostartcoping5835 I don't know what a woman brings, I only care about what my wife brings to my table and what I bring to her. My slight issue with this video and alot of criticism about the red pill movement is that people are looking and judging issues and discussions of the issues between the black man and the black woman as if they can relate or apply ideal scenarios to what's actually going on. People like Kevin Samuels, who are trying to push back on the one sided and at times unjust bias against black men will get labeled as being wrong or unfair when it isn't that simple. Yes he is flawed like all of us but the situation we are fighting is flawed as well. The same way we can't view the reality of a nation that isn't ran by Islamic or any religious principles at this point with a lens of "how it should be." What a woman or man should be or bring isn't often the reality in the USA; especially in my black community. So respectfully again, I don't know what every woman brings besides sex. A man can only select and give the spot of a wife to a woman who brings more than just sex based on his needs. Just these days finding such is a little harder.
